The carving knife has a 10-inch high-carbon, stainless-steel blade that can be sharpened at home with a sharpening steel. It has brass rivets securing the rosewood handles to the full tang (the metal extension of the blade within the handle), with seamless construction for better balance and to prevent food from sticking to the handle. The fork has similar construction, with 7-inch tines to secure the roast or bird during carving. Both pieces should be washed by hand with mild detergent to preserve the wood handles.
