This is an excellent-quality bread knife. The 8-inch blade tackles the crustiest of sourdoughs with nary a flinch. There's a slight flexibility to the blade, which is great for sliding through a loaf's fluffy interior without tearing. With the deep angle of serration, it's great for lefties as well, and maintains a sharp edge for a long while. It's also useful for vegetables such as tomatoes or eggplant; you'll get nice slices without squashing all the juice out. The handle is smooth and comfortable, providing a wonderful balance that's a big help when slicing through chewy bagels. Lightweight but durable, this knife makes a fine choice for bread-lovers. --Jill Lightner

Just holding this knife feels luxurious. The rosewood handle is beautiful to behold, and the knife glides through bread. Even my crusty whole-wheat bread is just downright easy to cut with this blade!
