Solid dish, looks great,

If you are looking to buy a round, 2-quart casserole, this is it. Mine was pretty inexpensive (although it looks as though the price has increased), and I use it a fair amount. It is nice and heavy, and gives good even heating, so nothing burns. Baked macaroni and cheese comes out great using this casserole.I bought the blue one, and the dish looks good even at the serving table. It's pretty easy to clean, too. Recommended!

I needed a smaller casserole dish than my Pyrex, and this seemed to fit the bill. I put it in my cart and found it was out of stock. So I checked often to see when it ould be available. It was priced so nicely and looked so pretty, I was very excited when they became available. So I bought 2. Sometimes when I entertain, I have the need for 2 dishes and happily thought I would have a matching set. Was also happy that the gold color I bought would match my Pfaltzgraff Naturewood dinnerware pattern so well, the gold would bring out the colors so vividly. Well, I got the package and only one survived. The one that did not live through he trip looked like its box had been used in a Samsonite commercial and the gorila had fun turning it into a rattle. They had not used much cushoining for protection and there was lots of room in the box it was in to bump around and hit each other. I hoped maybe just the lid was broken into a couple pieces I could glue together, no such luck. I have never had a problem with replacing what was broken in transit, I am upset because I now wonder when I will get my replacement. I do like the sole survivor of the 2 I bought. It does go well with my dinnerware and also with a bigger casserole dish I have had for a few years. It works well, and cleans up well. My advice that is not conected to this dish, when you are next at the grocers, by some Dawn Power Srub. It is the best stuff for cleaning casserole dishes, which I used to hate to do and for cleaning pots and skillets, even burned on food. Spray it on, let it set for 15 or 20 minutes and pretty much just use a sponge to wipe out the mess. |
