I love Sabian B8 cymbals, they are made with the B8 alloy which is 8% tin as appossed to the 20% tin found in your higher end cymbals. Although a cheaper grade alloy, to me this makes for a less harsh, warmer, deeper sound. My 18" B8 china is no different, this thing sounds like a gong twice it's size. Very loud, and very nasty, with invinite sustain. I listened to all the comperable chinas out there such as the Wuhan's, Zildjian Zbt and Paiste 505's and found they were less expressive, very tinny and frankly sounded like trash can lids. So if your looking for an explosive deep baritone type of china with a lot of wwushh to it, and lots of reverberation this is your cymbal, it cuts thru nicely, and brutishly, but without that clanky sound. But if you want that clanky sound I would go with the Wuhan or Zildjian. The best thing I can suggest is to go online into videos and listen for yourself. So keep bang'n and God Bless!

My dad got me this for my birthday and i'll tell ya, its sounds pretty good. Its a bit kangy, but its great for beginners. Its almost "too explosive" though, its very loud, but it has that quality trashy sound you're looking for. When i put in ear plugs and then hit this thing (i use it inverted because i like the sound a little better) it sounds professional, so trashy, yet so awesome. 4 out of 5 because its a little too loud, almost hurts your ears, just wear ear plugs and this thing is as good as a hand hammered one.
