I have been an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan for as long as I can remember. His movies are historically action-packed, quotable, and often humorous. Sabotage breaks away from this trend.

First of all, I would like to note that this is possibly Arnold's finest acting. It is also his darkest and most serious role that I've seen him play. Don't expect to find classic Arnold in this film.

This movie is packed full of vulgar content. You will find more F-Bombs fired than bullets and more gore than you can ask for. There are moments that you feel like you are watching a horror flick.

As I mentioned before, this is a dark movie. There are little redeeming factors in the story. Throughout the film, characters get killed off in horrific ways, and they don't seem to be missed. It struck me as odd considering that Arnold insisted that these characters are "family".

Although the story is very dark, I didn't think it was all that bad. It is far from perfection, but it kept me interested throughout the movie. There are also some good twists to it.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie for what it was. It had action, good acting, an okay story line. If you are an Arnold fan, I'd give it a watch. Just keep in mind that it is a "different kind" of Arnold movie.

Ok, this movie is gritty, violent, realistic, and well-written. That is, until the end. I am boggled by how stupidly the film makers end the film, yet I loved every minute of it. Why? Even when this movie stops making sense toward the end, it is a brutal slugfest that is a lot of fun to watch.

There is an air of mystery that builds tension and suspense until the very end. Then the last few scenes demolish that build, leaving a few questions answered satisfyingly and a couple questions answered moronically.

I will not spoil it for you, so let me say that the plot builds nicely into a deadly, hyper-violent mystery and then freaks out like a Telletubby on meth. Beforehand, everything makes sense. The team is in some serious danger. Nobody knows who is after them or who is betraying them. From the duplicitous DEA to the maniacal Mexican cartels to the crazy-violent team itself, there are a lot of enemies for these badass undercover agents to keep an eye on. The truth begins to unravel. So does the team. A few twists pop up that you will not see coming.

Then the last twist happens, makes no sense, has one of the main characters doing a useless, senseless thing. And . . . END. Credits roll and so do your eyes.

Still, Sabotage is an excellent film. Visually dark and stunning. The action is rough and bloody. The acting is great. The characters are interesting. Especially the team's female member. Crazy personified! Second best is Arnold's character. It's nice to see Arnold acting--and playing a dark, adult role!

Sabotage is a fun, violent romp through reality. You know those chase scenes in every other action movie on Earth in which NO ONE outside the plot gets hurt? Not in this movie! Expect to lose characters and lose extras.

I like much of David Ayer's work both as writer and director. He makes guy flicks but they are as much brain as brawn. He tries it here again and it just doesn't work.

Here's the scoop. 'Breacher' Wharton (Arnold Schwarzenegger) leads a team of D.E.A. agents that more resemble a renegade special ops group than government agents. While on strike against a big drug kingpin the crew steals ten million of the kingpin's stash only to find it has, in turn, been stolen from them. Who stole it? The team starts getting killed off one by one as they try to figure this out and a female police detective (Olivia Williams) enters the fray to investigate as things get really dicey.

This is a good idea gone bad. Arnold does a surprisingly good job but most of the rest of the cast seems wasted. Sam Worthington, whom I think is really good, gets only one notable scene. Mireille Enos, who is usually excellent just couldn't read this role right. She just seemed.....off. I'm not a huge Terrence Howard fan and he had even less to chew on here than most of the rest of the cast. This is really Arnold and Olivia's film and they do a decent job.

Another problem is the story itself. It's a good idea. Who is ripping off this ace D.E.A. team? But when that part of the problem is solved you have an aftermath dealing with Arnold and why the whole rip-off was staged in the first place. It's anti-climactic to say the least.

This isn't a bad watch but it's not Ayers' best by any means. If you like guy flicks you could do worse. But you could also do much better.

In Sabotage, members of an corrupt DEA task force find themselves being taken down one by one after they rob a drug cartel safe house.

Warning for those who are squeamish, this movie is full of violent and graphic action and a lot of foul language. That doesn't make this a bad movie though as this movie is gritty and dark just like it was intended. Although I will say the conversations between the characters in the initial part of the movie left something to be desired.

Although I don't think that the movie is bad, it actually kept me entertained throughout, it is far from being a perfect film. For starters the story is ok but a bit improbable. It would have been more believable for me, if the characters were not undercover DEA with the way they were portrayed but ones that were either ex-DEA or something more believable. The team being a family also left something to be desired unless it was a badly dysfunctional one. The plot has a few holes as well and really isn't filled in until the flashbacks are suddenly thrown in at the middle of the movie. Ultimately and unfortunately, the movie ends up in a very predictable way..

Even with that sad, the movie makes no apologies for what it is, a dark gritty action movie and if you leave it at that, then this is an entertaining watchable movie with Arnold in a more serious role than I have really seen from him. Its a good thing though. 3.5 stars.
