All holes don't align from left to right side due to manufacturing process. Basically these are pressed and finished one way and then you flip one around to be the left side and the other way to be the right side. If the holes were symmetrical horizontal distances from the vertical midline then left and right sides would be identical and then they would work without issue. As you can see in the picture the two outside holes are but the two inner are not.
I was using two SSD's and needed to clear the upper one's cables from the lower SSD.
I also had to clear the lower SSD's cable from the 3.5" tray.
The adaptor was using the last backend hole and would have used the second front hole.
This is where it failed, since the second front hole is in one place on one side and in a different place on the other.
May work fine for you but the asymmetrical hole pattern did not work in the Corsair trays in my Obsidian 650D case.

I bought two of these kits to allow me to use 2-1/2-inch SATA drives in slots designed for 3-1/2-inch drives. The hole patterns on the rails match the holes on the 2-1/2-inch drives correctly, but I have no idea whose systems Sabrent used to lay out their mounting holes for the outside and bottoms of the rails. The holes on the sides don't match 3-1/2-inch mounting holes on any 3-1/2-inch brackets that I have. All 3-1/2-inch drives have a standard set of 4 bolt holes on the bottoms of the drives for mounting, but these rails don't come close to matching those hole positions. What, exactly, are they designed to fit?

Item works ok, but cannot be used to mount 2.5" drive in 3.5" bay where the bay aligns the pins with a backplane.

I bought the Silverstone adapter for my first 2.5 inch disk in 3.5 inch bay adapter.

I got another 2.5 inch disk, so I'd thought I'd pay a little less, and I bought these.

All went well, until it was time to put it in the case.

I have a new Gigabyte motherboard that has plastic moldings to hold the disks in the 3.5 inch slot. I put two on the Silverstone adapter, and they fit perfectly (pins on the moldings go into holes on the adapter). However, when I came to put the moldings on the Sabrent adapters they didn't fit.

This seems to be a commonplace way of installing HDs, and I'm sure there is a fixed spec for all adapters and moldings.

If you're going to screw this into a 3.5 inch bay, I'm sure it would fit, but I wanted to use the moldings.

They cost too little to bother with returning them.
