As most of us know, iPhone's aren't the greatest in terms of battery life. Although one can make it through the day with very minimal use, many people, like myself, are heavy users. As a result, the greatest alternative would be to purchase a battery case. Speaking of battery cases, why not check out the one developed by Sabrent? Not only does it cost less than that Mophie Juice Pack you've been interested in, but it also contains more milliamps, allowing you to fully charge your iPhone and even some more! You know what? Quit reading this review and watch the video to your left! It will not only highlight most of the benefits and downsides of this product, but it will ensure that you remain entertained throughout the review! Thanks!

The Sabrent 2400 mAh charger case gives you a full charge and a fraction of what you already have in your phone. In case of emergency, you know you have the extra power that you need. Easy to use, just plug your iPhone and choose the bumper frame that you like. It comes with a gray and a white/transparent bumper. To remove, lift it off where the battery and the bumper frame meets which is just below the power button where there is a slight gap to insert your nail then pull.

It comes with a microUSB cable for charging the case and the phone. When your phone is not full, it will charge the phone first then charge the case when iPhone gets to 100%. Tip: This is common to many electronic devices. When your phone gets close to 100%, says 95%, it takes more effort to get to a full charge. It is a good idea to charge your case separately so it charges faster. But if you have time and likes simple convenience, you can just leave it plugged altogether.

Remaining battery can be checked by pressing the button on the back. The 4 LEDs correspond to 25% each. A full charge will show all 4 LEDs lit up. For added convenience, the case has a folding kickstand which can be useful if you are watching movies.

This is a terrific charging case for the iPhone. It has nice, smooth plastic texture on the outside and a scratchy texture on the inside. The case offers a little protection with the battery being so thick but the sides are thin.

It also comes with a little stand on the back which is pretty useful for when you are watching videos or Netflix. The plug fits well into the iPhone and doesn't leave any wiggle room. To start charging your iPhone you have to hold the power button on the back for a few seconds.

It charges your phone at a normal speed and is convenient to charge your phone while its still in its case without a cord attached to it. To charge the case you use a universal charger and you plug it in the bottom side of the case. The headphone plug opening is tight for the headphones I use but they supply a jack extender so the opening is no problem.

The other thing I have noticed is that your phone can overheat when it is charging and is running things at the same time. But other than that this is a quality case that's great for charging your iPhone. Product sample was provided for review.

I normally use external battery chargers for my iPhone, as they work well (and I can choose how much additional capacity I want to carry around). The Sabrent 2400mAh Rechargeable Extended Battery Case is different in that the extra battery is built into the case. I found this works out well if I'm going to be using my phone for a specific amount of time and don't want to carry around the extra bulk and cords to get more juice.

The case is easy to use in terms of getting the iPhone in and out. The battery portion of the case is like an additional back panel on the phone, so you just have to plug the phone onto the lightning plug on the lower edge of the case. You then clip on one of the side protectors (one is black, the other clear) to lock the phone onto the case. The side protector has all the necessary cutouts for ports and buttons, and everything is accessible. The only thing that isn't fully accessible when using the case is the headphone jack, but Sabrent handles that by including a short extension cord that plugs into the jack and offers a plug-in port that sits outside the case.

As for power, I was able to get a bit more than a full additional charge from the case when I was recharging. The recharging takes a bit more than 1% per minute, so to fully recharge from zero it took around 110 minutes. However, you shouldn't need to let your phone get down that far, as you can just top off the power by turning on the battery case via the button on the back side. There's a micro-USB port on the side of the case, so you can leave the phone in the case and charge both using that method. As you'd expect, having the battery built into the phone case does add weight and bulk to the phone.

Sabrent's Apple certified rechargeable battery cover performs quite well and offers to make it so your iPhone 5 (s, and c included) has more than enough power to keep you going through the day.

The case itself is easy to install. You slide your iPhone into the case and onto the lightning connector, then push it back into the case to ensure a nice tight fit. The front of the case extends slightly beyond the screen, meaning you can place your phone face down on a flat surface without the possibility of scratching the screen.

The case adds very little in terms of weight or added length/width to the phone, which is very nice. You can remove the black frame and use the included clear frame if you don't like the look of the black.

The back has the battery indicators. Just press the power button and it will show you charge levels. If your phone is installed in the case, it will immediately being charging. Also on the back is a kick stand, which is nice if you want to watch videos or view photos without having to hold the phone in your hand.

In terms of build quality, this is maybe the only complaint area I have. The material used feels like cheap plastic. Even worse, it looks like cheap plastic. The thing is, it actually feels quite stable and other than the finish looking cheap, it feels like a quality piece of hardware.

The included 2400 mAh battery should have no problem provided 1.2 full charges to your iPhone 5(s/c). While it is rated at 2400 mAh, battery efficiency means you don't get 100% of what you put in to charge back out, thanks to physics. This isn't an issue, and you definitely get at least 100% of a charge off of a full battery case.
