If you are looking for the ultimate in portability, and you want anywhere from 128 GB to 1 TB of storage space (and are willing to pay the price for that extra storage), this enclosure is brilliant.

To be clear, this enclosure is tiny. It's about 3 inches long and about 1.5 inch wide. It's also light.

Also to be clear, this is JUST the enclosure. You will need to provide your own drive.

Installing a drive is as simple as sliding the "drawer" out, placing your drive on the base and gently but firmly installing the drive onto the connector. Push the drawer back in, install the screws so the enclosure can't open, and you are ready to copy and store.

In terms of performance, it uses USB 3, so it's fast because of that. Then, if you have a UASP capable bus on your computer, you can get even FASTER performance. Using this enclosure I am seeing anywhere from 300-420 MB/s on my UASP supported computer.

Highly recommended for the ultimate in portability.

I have a ASUS Z87 deluxe motherboard who supports UASP. I bought this enclosure and add it with a crcuail M400 480gb ssd.
My motherboard never detect this device with UASP support. I had only " turbo" mode.
I tried another device who is UASP compatible and it worked like a charm....

An all-but-miniature USB3 mSATA case. The metal build is solid, and the inside tray slides smoothly. I've used many cases that were a struggle to assemble/disassemble, so it's a pleasure when well-designed ones just 'fit right'.

A microUSB3 cable is required (and comes with). A miniature screw-driver is included, in case you don't have one to fit the case screws. No power cable is required (USB powered). I like having an external enclosure like this for each kind of hard drive I own. They come in handy for system migrations, salvaging data from dead machines, and so forth.

I tend to like Sabrent's hard drive accessories, and this one fits the bill for mSATA. Recommended.

It says plug and play. It was not as easy as that. Had to mess with the adapter for a few hours and couldn’t get this thing to work. Luckily I bought more than one as I was in a hurry and I wasn’t sure if there was any difference between all the mSATA enclosures out there. I’m glad I did since the other one worked as a charm. I thought I had a bad SSD for a second. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

It works with speeds exceeding many times USB 2.0. Briefly going to 300MB/s with drives I have tested. Metal enclosure is really nice. There is a tiny blue LED that indicates power and activity. It's a good idea to use it instead of USB flash drives, or even as an expansion/external drive for notebook computers.

This product is what i have been searching for a long time. I like my peripherals to be sleek and subtle. Unfortunately, many enclosures have unnecessary logos and symbols of what the device can do. The world doesn't need to know that a laptop enclosure accepts SATA or that is USB Super speed. That is what the description on the box is for.
I installed my M2 drive in the board with no difficulty. I slid the board into the enclosure and tightened the screws. I noticed an issue immediately. The board moves inside of the enclosure. Even after screwing as tightly as possible, the enclosure would make a slight metal on metal noise. I didn't like how that made the enclosure feel cheap, so i found some adhesive backed foam and stuck in on the inside of the enclosure. Now I don't hear anything and the device feels very sturdy.
My only gripe with this product is that the cable is bulky. I understand that the cable needs to be of USB 3.0 specifications, but I feel as though if they included a flat type cable, it would be more portable.
