4.0 out of 5 stars Okay but gets cheesy at times
Sabrina The Teenaged Witch is a very cute, teeny-bopper show. Therefore you get cute, teeny-bopper songs. The highlights are Robyn's song Show Me Love which is a track with killer vocals, and Sugar Ray's cover of the classic song Abracadabra. The Spice Girls also give us a good track with Walk Of Life which is a fun song all about enjoying life. 'N Sync's can keep you...

3.0 out of 5 stars A music CD for the Kids!!!

However, there are fallbacks. I still cannot listen to I Know What Boys Like in full, it is just so bad. The Britney Spears song Sodapop is pop corniness at it's best complete with a reggae singer. While Melissa Joan Hart can definately act, she can't really sing making her track not that interesting. Overall though, if you are a fan of the show and pop music in general, you'll like this collection of songs.

ABC's television show, "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch," is the #1 show among teens and women  and also in the Top 10 of all broadcast television with kids and teens. A perfect formula to cash in and Geffen definitely will score with this soundtrack. Let's see, who would some of these bands target for the TV audience? How about every top selling act for those age categories like the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, Chumbawumba, Robyn and many others. Melissa Joan Hart who actually plays Sabrina also joins the mix and sings the old Blondie classic, "One Way Or Another," and Sugar Ray give a great version of Steve Miller's classic, "Abracadabra." Not only is the soundtrack loaded, but many of these bands will also appear on TV shows in its upcoming third season. A definite witches brew of bands and music to cash in on what's hot with the kids and teenagers. Guaranteed to be a CD many parents will hear loud and clear from their kids' rooms in the next months!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff., March 4, 2001

I used to watch "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" all the time; now I hardly ever watch the show. Why? Who knows? Anyway, I don't own this soundtrack but my younger sister does and let's just say that I've "borrowed" this soundtrack from her a few times to listened to it and see what it's like. I think this soundtrack is okay for kids. I'm 17 years old, and I have to say that I very much enjoy listening to Pop music (especially the Boy Bands) so I thought this would be a good CD. I was both right and wrong. How? Let's just say that most of the songs on this soundtrack weren't all that great but a few of them were actually pretty excellent. I especially enjoyed listening to "Show Me Love", by Robin, and the Backstreet Boys radio mix of their song, "Hey, Mr. DJ (Keep Playin' This Song)" - not the original version from their 1997 self-titled debut album! And I even liked Britney Spears's song, "Soda Pop", which is also on Britney's debut album. And I really liked the old Blondie song that Melissa Joan Hart sang, "One Way Or Another". I guess one of the reasons why I really liked that song was because she performed it on her show in the episode where she competed with her friends for that "Battle of the Bands" contest - in one of the earlier seasons. It was the same episode that the Backstreet Boys (my absolute #1 favorite band in the entire world) guest-starred as the final band to perform at the contest! That, I have to say, is my favorite "Sabrina" episode. (My other favorite episode is the one where Sabrina and her school went to Salem for a day, another one of the older epiodes.) Anyway, this is a pretty good soundtrack to get if you're a fan of the show. But if you're not a fan of the show then you're better off not buying this soundtrack and buying the albums by the artists listed here on the soundtrack.

hey, lemme comment on some these songs, not in order: 1) the spice girls' Walk of Life, i think this is one of the SG best songs, too bad it wasnt't released as a single 2) the BSB remix of Hey Mr DJ, i personally like this one better than the original. 3) dr jones by aqua, i think this song is so funny, and perfect to bounce around u'r house like a idiot dancing to it. 4) phantom planet's so i fall again, is just a kick a... song, and the reason i even bought this, was because i couldn't find PP CD anywhere. 5) Matthew Sweet's Magnet & Steel, i don't know why but i LUV this song, it's a great ballad. 6) 5ive's Slam Dunk da Funk, well, the name says it all!! 7) Melissa Joan Heart's rendition of One Way or another.... uh.... well, it's a good song anywayz.... ;)

altogether, i think this is a great CD to just put on and play all 'da way through and dance to. hope this is helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars ***AWESOME CD***, October 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Sabrina, The Teenage Witch: The Album (1996 Television Series) (Audio CD)
I think the CD is totally awesome! My favorite group on there is 'N SYNC but GIDDY UP is not my favorite song. My favorite song on it is probably Slam dunk the Funk by 5ive. My least favorite song on it is probably Melissa Joan Hart's One way or Another. The song is by Blondie and I never really liked it that much. And about the singer...... Lets just say that Melissa Joan Hart should stick with acting!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Soundtrack with Beautiful and talented singers., February 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Sabrina, The Teenage Witch: The Album (1996 Television Series) (Audio CD)
Melissa Joan Hart, Robyn, and Britney Spears, there songs have the most sexiest voices recorded on this Soundtrack. Ben Folds Five, Sugar Ray, and 5ive are the best singers. This soundtrack will not disappoint you! Some of the song are familiarized on the radio and some were put on the Soundtrack from a track from a certain album that were not radio hits. This album is a target for pop fans everywhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars phantom planet, January 6, 1999
By A Customer

This CD is not that good. The Phantom Planet song "So I Fall Again" is the best on the CD. The Bens Fold Five song is second best.
