The comment to the first review is worth reading and answers the review's flawed statements. The worst I could say about the book is that it can be a bit dry, no doubt in keeping with the standard style of a scholarly work of its day, and failing to meet the entertainment needs of today's "populistory." But, then, that may actually be a point that the book has going for it...personally, I think it's a worthwhile read, and more than interesting to those that are more interested.

The title of this book alone should dissuade all readers from reading this book. Every serious scholar of the Lewis and Clark Expedition can tell you that Sacagawea was never the guide on the journey, that the accepted spelling of her name is Sacagawea, not Sacajawea, and that there were other interpreters in the Corps of Discovery besides Sacagawea.
