A new direction for Boom Bip (Bryan Hollon), Sacchrilege is filled with banging beats and will take you on a kaleidoscopic adventure. This EP will definitely surprise old fans but most likely entice new ones.

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened?! January 3, 2008
Format:Audio CD
Boom Bip seemed like such a promising project, taking some "ok" instrumental hip hop and infusing some real instrument samples and not resorting to noise (recent Prefuse) or inane beats (most instrumental hip hop). Somehow that earlier work morphs into this, an EP that would fit right in at the 99˘ bin of generic house/techno releases at a record shop. Nothing of note on this album, and even if you DO like music like this, there's other artists who have been doing it better for longer. I can understand artists reinventing themselves, but it's not always for the better -- sometimes, they should've stuck with what worked in the first place.
