Important Information

Ingredients

Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Palm Kernel & Palm), Reduced Mineral Whey Powder, Dutched Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Nonfat Dry Milk, Lecithin (An Emulsifier), Salt, Sorbitan Tristearate (An Emulsifier), and Vanillin (An Artificial Flavor).

Directions

1. Remove lid and seal. 2. Microwave in container at 1/2 power (Medium). 3. Stir at 30 second intervals during microwaving until fully melted & smooth: about 2 minutes (melted chocolate retains shape until stirred). 4. Dip fruit by stem or with fork & cool on wax paper until hardened. Don't overheat! Dolci Frutta melts quickly & scorches easily. Keep dry! Moisture will thicken chocolate. Dry utensils & pat or air dry fruit before dipping. If product thickens: Add vegetable shortening or oil by teaspoonful & stir for desired consistency. Don't thin with water, milk, butter, or margarine. For best results: Dip and serve within 12 hours. Do not refrigerate.

I only gave (4) stars because of this PRICE, it's ridiculously high for an item you can easily find in any grocery store if you live in the U.S.

I got mine at the local Walmart but I've seen it at Sams Club so look for it locally..cheaper.

This is honestly a deliciously tasting chocolate that melts quickly and hardens quickly!

Would be awesome if you're looking for a last minute dessert item seeing as how whatever you dip in chocolate will need to be consumed quickly.

The instructions say you CANT re-warm the chocolate should it harden while you[re dipping but I broke the law and nuked it for 15 secs when I saw it getting super thick (turning my power down on my microwave to 50%) and it worked fine (just watch it).

CONS:
You can't refrigerate your food items once chocolate dipped (it says so on the container)

Again, I broke the law and did so anyways and it was fine other than the fact that eventually, while thawing to room temp - my strawberries showed signs of condensation, thus kinda melting the chocolate in a watery way. They were still delicious so no harm, no foul!

A nice 2nd place for dipping chocolate (if you're looking for one that you can refrigerate) is Bakers brand dipping chocolate (you can find it locally or here on Amazon). Comes in a handy container you can also microwave but it's not as yummy as Dolci Frutta's and it takes a while to harden.

Terrible. Used the chocolate and had no problem but the white chocolate---horrible. Followed directions to a T: half power, no moisture, stir every 30 sec.
Stuff never melted. It just got thick and clumpy. It even scorched despite stirring and onky half power. Tried adding oil. Nope. Just a clumpy mess. Waste of money.

Our three daughter (7,5,and 4) and my wife and I tried this for the first time tonight. It was so much fun. Follow the instructions on the can, and you'll be thrilled. We made a dozen large chocolate-covered strawberries first, and there was a bunch left over so we moved on to banana slices and baby carrots. Next time we're going to try some raisins and mixed nuts. My wife wouldn't let me make chocolate-covered bacon, so I'll have to do that while she's out of town. Great product.

This item is hard to find in the grocery stores and is perfect for dipping fruit (strawberries, pineapple, apples, grapes) The chocolate hardens after dipping in about 30 minutes. The fruit must be dry. The chocolate has a great Chocolate Bar taste!

This is a terrific dip for strawberries, orange slices etc. I also use it to coat candied ginger to mellow out the sharp taste you sometimes get. When I have some left in the container I throw in some cashews or peanuts and make nut clusters. Delicious.

Kind of tasteless chocolate. Like that waxy imitation chocolate you find during the holidays. The strawberry flavor overwhelmed the chocolate despite putting a fairly thick coating of chocolate on. It was easy to coat the strawberries and I didn't have any problems melting the chocolate. I made about 15 large to small sized strawberries and have half the can left over. It makes a nice, even layer. Just kind of disappointed about the lack of flavor.

My three year old son and I just finished using this product! It was amazing and taste great! We bought both white chocolate and chocolate. It dried on the fruit quickly without refrigeration. We did over a dozen large strawberries and bananas as well. Eating them now and they taste great!

It's really easy to heat to the right temp/consistency if you follow the directions on the container. I'm not really sure how clean chocolate dipped fruit is supposed to be but I imagine you if you want the coat hard, you need to put them in the refrigerator and yes it will flake if when you're eating but I think all chocolate does that when it's just shelling something. I made this at home and it wasn't messy at all to coat the fruit. One of my co-workers bring it almost everyday and at our last break we dip the fruit, let them cool till hard and then eat them. That's all under 15 mins and we're all big girls so it's not like we're only eating one or two strawberries, bananas, or cherries.

It's delicious. Only the strawberries get messy but not so much that we go back to work looking like we had a chocolate fight or something and it's definitely worth it.
