This is a gorgeous calendar of Tibetan thangkas, painted by master artists from Nepal, and including explanatory text of the symbols and deities/buddhas depicted, as well as moon phases in the date portion. I am not quite sure what the prior reviewer saying this should be Rated R is talking about - I guess the tantric images of yab yum (male/female deities in union)? It's true there are some, so if that offends you, don't get this calendar (but I wouldn't think someone offended by that would be interested in a Tibetan Sacred Images calendar anyway!) Part of the proceeds from this go to Tibetan charities, so that is an additional plus.

Excellent quality, and beautiful photos of the Thangka's. Excellent summary for each month's highlighted image. Such a good quality calendar - will look forward to each year. Highly recommend!

I have been purchasing this calendar every year for 5 years. The artwork is beautiful; each image is explained; holidays and moon phases are noted...it hangs on the wall next to my computer where I can enjoy its beauty every day!

I own a captivating thangka and this calendar's pictures are just what I expected. Each picture is worth framing up.

The pictures in this calendar are so beautiful. I do plan to use the pictures as Altar Cards, after the end of the year. If you want a Tibetan Calendar, that shows beauty and info., this is the one for you!

My son said this was the best calendar he has received in all the years I've been giving him a Tibetan calendar.

I bought this for my husband and he loved it! The colors are amazing and since he is a Buddhist he really appreciated the art.

This calendar has too much nudity and sexual content, this is not a calendar to give to a teen or preteen. It should have a rated "R" rating!
