Review
Even when one realizes that life and its drama is but an illusion, one cannot turn one's head away from the reality of the illusionn of war, especially since war is merely a reflection of ourselves, of our own turmoil, of our own inability to cope with the different facets of ourselves. In Edward Tick's On Sacred Mountain, we are reminded of the ugliness that exists in the world. We experience the putrid side of existence, a side that seems to be on the other side of the earth but is really inside each of us. -- Alexis Rotella in a review from Poetry Nippon
