5.0 out of 5 stars What a great experience!
This book is not just something to sit down and read- it is great excersizes to use with the labyrinth for inner understanding and growth. It reminds me of the artist way, which I love, for the labyrinth. I think it will be a great book for our study group to work with, especially if we can use labyrinth walks as Lauren suggests in the book.

The Sacred Path Companion is just that: a companion for walking the labyrinth. It is perfect for my friends who ask, "What's a labyrinth?" It is far more accessible than her last book, although I liked that one too. I've been buying this book & giving it to all my friends! I also really like the quotes in it & will put one on my garden bench. It's fun to read the stories of others who walk too, and hear their transforming experiences. Best book on spirituality I've read lately.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally- advancing the use of the labyrinth, May 17, 2006

I have walked the labyrinth off and on for a few years. I have been interested in it but have always felt there was more available than I was getting. I even went to a workshop about it but could not get to the "next level" until now. This book has opened up a whole new world and realm of possibility. I am very excited to get to experience the labyrinth in a much deeper way. It is truly remarkable having worked through several of the suggestions and using the ideas!

5.0 out of 5 stars I was very excited when I first read this book!, November 2, 2006

I was very excited when I first read this book because it is an outstanding comprehensive guide for people at all levels of the labyrinth experience to maximize their benefits of labyrinth walking! The opening chapters give us many new frameworks from which to understand our profound spiritual growth. They are extremely easy to read and comprehend initially, and yet give us more depth of understanding when reread and contemplated. The exercises in the second half of the book offer great methods for exploring specific issues with which we are dealing at a particular time in our life. Thus we can use The Sacred Path Companion as a reference over a long period as new life challenges develop.

Individuals new to labyrinths can start slowly and progress to the more complex suggestions, over time, as their experience expands. Veteran labyrinth walkers, even those with hundreds of walks in their repertoire, can still benefit from contemplating and trying the numerous suggestions offered here.

Used easily by individuals and groups, this book is one that can be kept at the forefront of one's library for years, leading the user to a progressively closer relationship with The Divine/God/Goddess/All-That-Is.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE SACRED PATH COMPANION, June 1, 2006
This review is from: The Sacred Path Companion: A Guide to Walking the Labyrinth to Heal and Transform (Mass Market Paperback)
Just like walking the labyrinth, which is a new journey every time, in this book, you can pick and choose where you want to start, and create a new walking experience each time. Also, Lauren has added pungent sayings that in themselves provide good 'chewing material' for walking.
The size, style and design make it very 'companionable' indeed. BL from Oakland CA.
