5.0 out of 5 stars It's still there.
Is it just me, or does it seem that every Christian movement that hits mainstream tend to lose momentum after a couple years? Thankfully, this has not happened to Passion! After about '7 years and six albums', this group has not gone dim in it's Passion for God.(pun intended)

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent passion album, not as strong as previous ones
As a big fan of the previous Passion albums, I was somewhat disappointed with this one. The line-up of artists is great - David Crowder Band, Matt Redman, and Charlie Hall to name a few. But, the songs just are not that strong.

I like the David Crowder Band songs, and a few of the slower ones. But, other than that most of the album falls flat for me. The...

Is it just me, or does it seem that every Christian movement that hits mainstream tend to lose momentum after a couple years? Thankfully, this has not happened to Passion! After about '7 years and six albums', this group has not gone dim in it's Passion for God.(pun intended)

But this album is not necessarily like the others in the series. There is a more....majestic feeling to it. Like this is not a big worship production but a group of people coming before Almighty God and singing holy anthems of love to Him. That is the theme of this album. Anthems of Love, in the truest sense.

As for the songs themselves, I can not find a prediction for the next 'big worship song' that every church will be singing soon, but they are all very good. Particular stand outs to me are "O Praise Him"(sung by my personal fav David Crowder Band), "All the Earth", "Blessed Be Your Name", and "Not to Us".

The Passion series is steadily getting better with each new CD. I highly recommend this to Christians needing a new worship album, and to those who loved the earlier Passion CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful, True, December 4, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sacred Revolution: Songs From One Day '03 (Audio CD)
Somehow Passion manages to capture more than songs... this CD, like the others before it, captures the powerful heartbeat of God... and that of a lot of people who are running hard after HIm. I love the live feeling (the CD makes me feel like I'm in the middle of tens of thousands of worshippers), but also appreciate the musicality that Matt, David, Chris, Charlie and the others bring to the table.

But this CD is worthy the money for the songs alone. "Holy Is The Lord" and "O Praise Him" are destined to be sung around the world, and new songs from Matt, Charlie, Steve Fee and Nathan and Christy Nockels are amazing, too. And I love the jason Wade song, "Revolution Cry," and am glad Passion has brought it to the listening public.

If you're going to buy one new worship project this year, make it this one! You won't be disappointed! Passion somehow keeps it powerful...and true!

5.0 out of 5 stars SACRED REVOLUTION ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!, December 1, 2003
By
This review is from: Sacred Revolution: Songs From One Day '03 (Audio CD)
And I thought "Our Love is Loud" rocked! This CD has not left my CD player, no kidding! This CD is TEN times better then "Our Love is Loud." I went to a Passion Experiance Tour event in Sacramento, and that was awesome! The songs on this CD are awesome. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who like loud worship music! The songs on this CD rock, but don't compare to the music in a Passion Experiance Tour. But, since we don't have a private Passion band in our living room, this CD gives us a little bit of Heaven on Earth! This CD ROCKS!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Looking for Something New?, August 31, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sacred Revolution: Songs From One Day '03 (Audio CD)
For anyone looking for a fresh, new worship experience, Sacred Revolution (the songs of OneDay03)is what you are looking for.

Lead worshippers Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, David Crowder, Matt Redman, Watermark and Steve Fee lead a gathering of over 30,000 college students before the Throne as they gathered outside of Sherman, Texas, for OneDay03, over Memorial Day Weekend.

This CD captures just a snapshot of the experience of those who were there and is a must for anyone passionate about worshipping God.

I've heard a great deal about the Passion albums, but until recently, never took the time to invest in one. I chose PASSION: SACRED REVOLUTION because it contains several songs by David Crowder (e.g. "O Prais Him (All This For a King)") and Matt Redman's "Blessed Be Your Name". When you look at Christian music, especially praise music, there aren't too many artists out there who are willing to leave the familiar confines of mediocrity and go out on a ledge to write and create something new. Most of the artists involved with Passion are some of the few who are rising above the addiction to mediocrity. PASSION: SACRED REVOLUTION is not they typical 'praise and worship' album. Instead, it's almost like an experience in itself. A few of the songs are old hymns, such as "O Come Let Us Adore Him". These songs do not dilute the spirit of the album, but instead add to it: I've always said the old hymn writers knew how to write music that mattered. My favorite songs on the album are:

"O Praise Him (All This For A King)"

"Blessed Be Your Name"

"Revolution Cry"

"Not To Us"

I highly recommend this album to anyone who is looking for some serious praise music to listen to. Who knows, it could start a revolution.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Worship Album, August 20, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sacred Revolution: Songs From One Day '03 (Audio CD)
I attended One Day '03, and this album really is a great symbol of all that happened on that field in Sherman, Texas. The songs are incredible and you will love them. There is some crowd singing in the background, and if you were at One Day, this CD will really put you back into the experiance!

Hey, I don't know what this CD sounds like to most people, but when I listen to it I remember the sun beating down on all of us as we stood, 30,000 people, before the Lord from 9 am till late at night, worshipping, praying, and seeking His face. This CD is a snibbet of all that happened there at OneDay03 on 5/27/03 in TX. It was a memory well worth having, and I'm totally happy that anyone who WASN't there could pick up this CD and taste that worship with those of us who were.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best worship cd's available, December 22, 2004
This review is from: Sacred Revolution: Songs From One Day '03 (Audio CD)
The Passion cd's keep raising the bar for Christian praise and worship music. The 13 songs recorded live on this cd project a spiritual earnestness that only comes by much prayer prior to the music being played and sung. Passion's music, more than any other I think, draws one into the spirit of Worship and turns one's focus to God.

With several leaders singing the songs, there is not a focus on any person or star. The focus of the cd is on the Lord. The songs offer great upbeat music and variety. They keep the listener focused on the message. You can really experience the excitement of that "one-day" event where this was recorded.

I have four Passion cd's, and I think this one rates at the top. It is like a great book that I can't put down. I want to continually listen to it and get caught up in the Praise that glorifies Jesus.

Thanks and congratulations to the Passion team that comes together each year to bless us with wonderful music.

This CD is totally worth every penny you would spend on it. I was actually at One Day 03 and this CD represents the aim of that gathering perfectly. The songs are wonderful and heartfelt. Shortly after buying the CD, I had to make a 6 hour car trip. I listened to the CD on repeat the whole way and am still not tired of it. Congrats to the Passion group for creating another amazing worship expierience that you can take wherever there is a CD player!

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING... Sacred Revoluton Rocks!!, October 3, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sacred Revolution: Songs From One Day '03 (Audio CD)
I wasn't able to be at OneDay03, though I have friends who were there and they said it was like nothing they have ever experienced before. Listening to Sacred Revolution I feel what they are talking about. From a musical standpoint, I love the new songs... especially another Billy Foote classic, "Sing To The KIng," "Holy is the Lord," from Tomlin and "O Praise Him" from Crowder. The raw power and emotion fill my heart with a sense of God's presence and we are already singing the songs at our college Bible study! I totally recommend this CD and Passion: Our Love Is Loud as the best places to go for corporate worship! Thanks Passion...
