5.0 out of 5 stars Alchemical Opus of RA Schwaller de Lubicz, May 25, 2009

Many academics will point to "Temple In Man" as R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz's crowning achievement. I humbly, and totally, disagree. As academically pleasing (detailed and bordering on pedantic) "Temple In Man" is, "Sacred Science" is clearly his alchemical opus. He sweeps aside our modern (then maturing and fully accepted) ideas about evolution using the Egyptian tradition, then proceeds to untangle the Egyptian mythology as it embeds the true principles of human spiritual evolution. Unknown - apparently even to R. A. - the Egyptian records and mythos had encoded information considered so sacred (and therefore, secret) in their day, that the actual truth was never uttered. Even RA did not know what he'd stumbled on to. I'll leave this re-discovery up to the reader, but suffice it to say that this work is a masterpiece of transliteration, and should be required reading for anyone seriously interested in deciphering the hidden occult alchemical-astrological-spiritual lexicon of the ancient religions of the past. This knowledge was apparently only fully recorded in the Egyptian mythos and hieroglyphs, and only a man as broadly trained in modern critical scientific analysis, as well as intuitive alchemical reductionism, and as fully in possession of the "intelligence of the heart" as R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz was, could have re-discovered that which so very many utterly missed. An absolute must read, Sacred Science is a literary equivalent of prima materia.

5.0 out of 5 stars Schwaller De Lubicz has deciphered Egyptian Philosophy, June 25, 2001
By
This is a short jog into Rene's greater work Le Temple d'Homme. Sacred Science is a guide to the metaphysical world harnessed by the pharaoh. One will quickly agree with the well recorded research and analysis expertly layed out in this work. This book casts shadows on other books released about Egyptain Theocracy. This book traces the origin of Heliocentricity much farther back then Capernicus and sites the Pythagorian understanding behind the Cathlic "Heretics" of the middle ages. And consequently traces Pythagoros back to his roots, his training by the priests of the temples in Egypt for 15 years! This Book is filled with amazing revelations is dry and techincal, possibly aimed at the acedemic community, but If you enjoy Ancient History, Cause and Effect, Ancient Egypt or Greece, mythology or are a skeptic you will love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scwaller is a Sage, May 19, 2010

Having spent over 30 years in Egypt studying the ancient monuments and symbols, and living the culture, this book is better researched than any similar publication. Schwaller provides an exceptionally insightful look into the minds and hearts of the ancient Egyptians. He reveals a way of life that is so integrated with the cosmos and centered on the inner journey of enlightenment few Egyptologists will understand it unless they too practice the esoteric science of personal transformation.

It is only in the present, relatively materialistic age, that we separate science and the sacred as foreign to one another - but the ancient Egyptians and Schwaller knew a deeper harmony. For anyone that is seeking to understand the mindset of long lost higher cultures Sacred Science is a key resource.

Stunning in the depth and breadth of this man's investigation --- one needs a deeper background to fully appreciate what he has uncovered. Please read Z.Sitchin's THE 12TH PLANET -- the entire series. Investigate Hindu metaphysics via Helena Blavatsky. You will find a very deep coherence in all of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars another five star review for this great author, November 15, 2011

I first encountered R.A Schwaller's work long ago with a small but memorable book, "The Temple in Man" Sacred architecture and the Perfect Man. amazing. I never forgot that book, and it led to other research about Egypt and metaphysics. Not only was Mr. de Lubicz brilliant, he was incredibly accurate in observations and measurements. He was very broadly educated, including science, history, mythology, metaphysics, medicine, and other subjects. Moreover, he had fantastic access to the subject of his investigations, Giza, Egypt, etc., the type of access modern scholars can only dream about, given the situation now in Egypt, where very few are allowed, in very restricted ways, to measure and physically touch the sacred sites the way he was able do. So, we all owe a great debt to him. And fortunately for us, there are many reprints of his great works.

Egyptian cosmology and thought appear incredibly bizarre to a typical modern mind, but that's because we fail to grasp its meaning. Their version of what we call "religion", was the supreme science, a way to produce heaven on earth, "as above, so below", because man's inner divinity can be manifested through a process of initiations, unfolding a student's awareness to include the full inner awareness of spirit while in a body, combined with scientific knowledge of how to apply that understanding to work a kind of magic in physical space. Clearly, the few who pursued this knowledge diligently and completely became incredible architects, artists, mathematicians, musicians, and perhaps even magicians in the best sense of the word. Simply put, they knew something very, very important that we are missing in our modern "civilization". It pays us to listen, and because of books like this, we are able to know so much now.

This "religion" was not about faith, dreaming. It was incredibly precise, a whole system of education about energy, matter, space, proportion, and harmony, demonstrated in full manifestation by monuments and art that have lasted for millenia. Egypt left a legacy so important, that most of the great geniuses through all time since have studied some part of "hermetics" at one time or another. Even today, we can all benefit immensely from studying what the masters of Egypt have to say. Now, to do that, we need people like Mr. Lubicz to help us. Few of us can visit the sites, or study the heiroglyphs, read all the myths, etc. In this book, the author uses his brilliance to clearly explain what egypt was all about, the core of their philosophy and knowledge. There are plenty of illustrations and footnotes, too, so it's not just a long spiel of speculation. You must read it, and think. carefully. over time, some revelations will occur to you that may change your life, the way you see things.

In addition to this book, please also look into the complementary works of E.A. Budge, Petrie, Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, and more modern researchers such as Robert Bauval, Graham Hancock, John Anthony West, Joseph Farrell, and many others.

This book is a keeper, one I want in tangible form ( as opposed to Kindle ), since it's got lots of illustrations, and you may want to make notes in it.
