Review of Sacred Sexuality,

This review is from: Sacred Sexuality: The Erotic Spirit in the World's Great Religions (Paperback)
This was a complete and well written exploration of a topic that is unusual because in our society sexuality and the sacred are not often juxtaposed. It gave insights, read well and flowed. I enjoyed it and learned from it. I also now think I'm "on to " something and plan to explore the topic further.

the book was very informative about sexuality and the sacred through out the piece, the only draw back was the very strong anti male sentiment in the book...if you could get past the politics, had very insitefull history and how to reawaken the sacred sexuality in our current day world..

Survey of sexuality in various religious traditions,

This review is from: Sacred Sexuality: The Erotic Spirit in the World's Great Religions (Paperback)
This book explored the place of sex and sexuality in various religious traditions. Feuerstein delves into Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam and the views of sexuality in each. Feuerstein himself, limits his view to male/female sex and has limited comment on other, more diverse sexualities. A very good survey of the view of sex in each of these great traditions.
