5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Source Documents on the Science of the Cards, June 13, 2000
This review is from: Sacred Symbols of the Ancients: The Mystical Significance of Our Fifty-Two "Playing" Cards and Their Amazing Connection with Our Individual Birthdays (Plastic Comb)
This is the book that first introduced me to the science of the cards. I was at a friend's house in 1987 when she handed me this book and asked me to look up my card and read about myself. She wanted to know my impression of what it said. I read the short chapter on my birth card and was amazed at how accurate it was. It wasn't very flattering but it was indeed an accurate description of the major issues and personality traits that are mine. What amazed me even more was that there are eight different birthdays that all have the same card as mine. As an astrologer I couldn't imagine how this could actually work. But I had to admit that it pegged me. Now, after writing my own books on this ancient and amazing system, I still recommend this book to those who are studying this system. The language is a bit outdated but the information is still very pertinent. It gives a fairly detailed description of each of the 52 birth cards, a chart for looking up your card and the tools to actually do yearly progressions, though the information on this aspect is very sketchy. The main benefit of this book is the birth card descriptions which reveal a lot of valuable information about our life patterns. This book appears to be the second book ever published on this system. It was published in the early forties and the two authors have since passed away. Florence Campbell, one of the authors, also published one of the all time best books on numerology, Your Days Are Numbered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth the price if you're into Cartomancy, August 3, 2009
This review is from: Sacred Symbols of the Ancients: The Mystical Significance of Our Fifty-Two "Playing" Cards and Their Amazing Connection with Our Individual Birthdays (Plastic Comb)

If you're into the Order of the Magi and the system of reading cards, this book is the bible. Written by Randall and Campbell in 1947, with two reprints, the last being 1989, this is an invaluable book explaining in detail the traits of each card with two colorful charts of both the natural and life spreads. Also included in the appendix are the 90 life spreads. This is a perfect book to accompany Robert Lee Camp's two books, "Cards of your Destiny," and "Love Cards."

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST astrology book I've ever read!, August 9, 2008
I have cherished this book for more than 15 years. It is very accurate. If you can't get this book try others by Florence Campbell.

This type of astrology is based on assigning the 52 playing cards to a group of birthdays and planets in your chart. The only information needed to determine your card is the day of your birth. However, you can draw life charts and it also has a feature similar to the sun, moon and rising signs.

I can't say enough about this book, just buy it!
