Book Description

November 27, 2007
Book Description:

"According to Churchward, Mu was a lost continent in the Pacific Ocean, which was destroyed in a global cataclysm tens of thousands of years ago; Mu was the original home of mankind, and all subsequent civilizations descended from it. The Pacific islands and their inhabitants are supposed to be the last survivors of this primordial motherland. Churchward's Mu was a huge continent, which stretched from Micronesia in the West to Easter Island and Hawaii in the East. Churchward also believed in a literal mid-Atlantic Atlantis. He proposed a global network of huge gas-filled caverns which, if vented, could cause large areas of land to be submerged." (Quote from sacred-texts.com)

About the Author

About the Author:

"For centuries the cache of stone tablets outlining man's earliest civilization had lain practically forgotten in an East Indian temple vault. Befriended and found worthy by the Temple Priest, Col. James Churchward, serving in the British Army in 1868, was taught to decipher the story carved in the stones. The tablets told of a great civilization, far earlier than our own, that emerged, flourished and vanished beneath the sea 25,000 years ago. Churchward spent the next fifty years of his life piecing together the remnants of this lost continent and its legacy. These titles show convincing evidence of a single source that unites mankind with a common heritage. All volumes measure 5.5 X 8.5 and are thoroughly illustrated including maps, diagrams and line-drawings." (Quote from brotherhoodoflife.com)

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent, must have book, July 22, 2009

This review is from: The Sacred Symbols of Mu (Forgotten Books) (Paperback)
If you are after the beginnings of occult symbols, this is the book. Discover the beginnings of cube, cross, Tau, swastika, sun, triangle etc. It has been a while since I read this book, but I can definitely say that this is a marvelous book and well worth the read. I for one would hate to not have this book in my collection. Regarding the ancient race of Mu, this fits in with teachings of Samael Aun Weor i.e. `Gnostic Anthropology'. Those that debunk this book side with the illusion and matrix of deception that engulfs this planet.

I am fascinated by ancient Hawaiiana and have been looking for information connecting the ancient Hawaiian language and spirituality to the ancient teachings and culture of Lemuria. Well, this book does it. Simply and clearly written and full of useful illustrations. I am very pleased . . .
