5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Sleep
Music from Qn5 never disappoint (except for one of tonedeff's songs. This album is solid and full of lyricism, it has those bangers where you break ya neck nodding to it and it has those deep tracks like 'hood hope'. Stand out track for me would be Sign Language where we hear from Extended F@mm, Favorite Things(catchy as hell) and Hood Hope.

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars definitely some dope production!
this album is ok, substantial is ok as an emcee. a song i thought he did a great job on resurrection of the house party. the production is really amazing on this album, i believe done by fat jon and substantial. I wish they made an instrumental album because the production is great just not so much the lyrics.

4.0 out of 5 stars Substantial shows why the "Sacrifice" is worth it., January 8, 2008
This review is from: Sacrifice (Audio CD)
Looks like the samurai of slang "Substantial " is back after a long stint of getting his ultimate "sacrifice" planned. Having been a long time heavyweight on the independent Hip-Hop scene, he returns with a well calculated and executed release that explains how much of yourself you actually give to your craft in order to be taken seriously. My standout favorites are "Ressurection of the House Party" and "That Damn Good".

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff, February 10, 2008
This review is from: Sacrifice (Audio CD)
This album is good. My favorite track is #9- Its you(I think).
This is a cd that can be played from beggining to end. Usually when an album is purchased people only listen to a handfull of tracks or just the ones they would hear on the radio, but not this one. There are only 2 songs that I tend to not listen to entirely, I say that this is good for a cd with 16 tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clearly "Substantial", February 11, 2010

To Sum it all up and make this review brief and simple i will say this album is simply a work of pure talent. Hip Hop At Its Best and Clearly a Sacrifice To not go the mainstream route but instead stay true to himself and make an album from the heart that would appeal to his fans. I recommend this album to All Real Fans of REAL hip hop. Not this Pop Hop era we live in now. Substantial Keeps it real from beginning to end with the Track "Hood Hope". You can only hope for a Follow Up Soon after listening to this Album.
