EEEEEEEEEEK. Sacrifice almost killed me, guys! Seriously. It was just so good; I don't know if you know this, but I find that Denise's second half of her books are just amazing. It took me a few days to read the first half, but once I hit the second half, I could NOT put the book down. It was just so addicting and my heart was racing because omgggg time squeeze and Raphael is insane and omg, WHAT IF THEY ALL DIED?!

I knew the fourth book was a rumor.

Wait. I shouldn't say that. THE FOURTH BOOK ISN'T A RUMOR. I was just teasing. Don't quote me.

The scariest thing about Sacrifice was that Will doesn't remember Emma, and it's so sad! I wanted him to remember; I wanted to shake him until he remembered. Nothing kills me like angsty relationship turmoil, and there is a lot of that in Sacrifice.

Most of the time I have problems with a third book if there's four total in a series. I always feel like those are filler books until the last book, but the good news for this one was that it didn't feel like a filler book. Water is found at the end, so the plot for this book is complete, but it still has a tiny cliffhanger that definitely leaves you anticipating the fourth book (I am VERY excited to know what is in store for Emma and Will! Definitely intrigued by the game Aiden created.)

Readers who are afraid of picking up Sacrifice shouldn't be; it's a GREAT read and leaves you breathless at all the right parts. Be prepared to have your heart squeezed and stuck in your throat.

After reading the first two books in this series, I was convinced that there was no way that Denise could outdo her self. I am happy to say that I was wrong! Book 3 in this series, "Sacrifice" is by far my favorite book in the series. Will Emma find Jake in time? Will Emma and Will find each other again and defeat the nefarious plans of Raphael, Alex and Aiden? These questions and more kept me up late at night, continuing to turn the pages long after I should have been asleep. My family knows that when a new book by this author comes out, meals will be late and laundry will pile up.

I am anxiously awaiting the fourth book in this series so that hopefully all my questions will be answered. In the meantime, I think I'll make up a bunch of freezer meals so that my family will at least be fed while I'm reading book number 4. If you're looking for a book with a lot of action, some sizzling romance and suspense that keeps you remaining on the edge of your seat until the last page is read, this book is for you!

I would like to warn fellow vocal and emotional readers do not read this in public. I cried, mildly mumbled curses and had quite a few verbalized "Really?!?!" or "WTF" moments. Which are all positive reactions, however when in public it makes you look a little unstable. If you don't mind the stares then go for it but don't say I didn't warn you. Warring gods, non-stop action and not one but two types of love - the one that can only happen between a mother and her son and the one that endures through it all - dominate the entire series . It's a new twist on many different concepts, breathing a breath of fresh air on the genre. Denise Grover-Swank's writing brings to life a group of incredible characters, that will haunt your imagination for days after reading. She ends the book in the perfect cliff hanger...the type that keeps you gripping the edge but you find mild comfort in the toe hold you just found. If you can't tell I absolutely love this series and Sacrifice didn't disappoint, the worst part about it is the wait for the next book. Happy Reading - and go buy the first two books!
