I love how this little wallet holds "all you need" (i.e. cards) so you don't need a bulky wallet.

First of all, even though it says it's a "simple wallet", this isn't a wallet replacement. It's really a nice way of carrying a half dozen credit cards around. I decided a while ago to break my bulging wallet into a money clip in one pocket for cash and the necessary set of credit cards in the other. So this is my solution for the cards. I've been using it for 6 credit cards, a business card and a CA driving license. The case itself is a rich dark leather with thick stitching on left/right sides with a hole cut in the bottom to allow you to use your thumb to push the cards out, usually all at once. I push all of them out about half way and sort out which one I want to pull fully out. The fit is tight but I think that's what you want. Is it worth spending the money? Well, for a while prior to this purchase I'd used a small plastic bag which was credit card sized and had a seal at the top that I'd gotten with some electronic parts. It was fine but soon wore out. This card case has longevity written all over it.

UPDATE: Purchased two of these simple wallets last fall. Both are with me at all times alternating as case for a flip phone and as wallet for few credit cards, couple of health cards, drivers license and some currency. Fantastic product that will last forever and keep doing what I need it to in top notch fashion. DO BUSINESS WITH THE SADDLEBACK FOLKS. THEY UNDER PROMISE AND OVER DELIVER GREAT PRODUCTS.

Original review: Purchased the second one a few weeks after the first and after realizing how great this simple wallet is. First was Chestnut second was Tobacco. At least one is with me at all times loaded with four cards, some cash and a few misc items of paper. Don't know how I survived without them because I hate wallets in pockets and have for decades. In my determination to lose this unnecessary bulk, the search is finally over. After 90 days of using this wallet (in front pocket only), I'm 100% certain I will use no other wallet style in the future. First class in all respects and the most convenient and practical one can possibly imagine. GET ONE OR TWO AND ENJOY! YOU WON'T REGRET!

It was a pleasure doing business with Saddleback Leather. Everything worked and communication was top notch.

The wallet showed up undamaged and as described. The leather is about as heavy duty (1mm thick) as I could hope for and I don't doubt that this little wallet will outlast me. The stitching along the sides is probably the weakest link but even that is totally over engineered to last a lifetime. The finish on the leather will get scuffed if you put it in a pocket with keys but the wallet itself will not come apart.

It took a while to break in the wallet for 6 cards and a bit of cash. After 2 weeks it is still a bit stiff getting the cards in and out. Also if you have a lot of cards it can be a little awkward getting at the one you want in the middle. That is the price you pay for not having seperate compartments for cards.

I would recommend this to a friend.

**One year on and it has only gotten better. The outside is now smooth from wear and oddly enough whenever it gets scratched the scratches seem to fade with time. I am using 4 cards now and the tension is just right, a heavy shuffling motion will release the two middle cards about half way.

A tip for those breaking in their wallets make sure the two cards furthest out are disposable or will be exchange soon as they will get a bit worn.

This is a great little wallet. Looks nice, very inexpensive, functions well (you can easily push up your cards and retrieve them), seems durable, and fits in any pocket without causing a bulge.

But, this wallet will work best for people who:

    1. Only carry a few cards. I have my drivers license, health insurance card, two credit cards and my work ID (slightly thicker) in there now, and it's fairly full. It could fit a few more cards at most.

    2. Carry limited cash. Folding bills twice, I can easily slip five bills into the wallet, along with the cards mentioned above. But, bills are a little harder to retrieve than cards.

    3. Want something that is somewhere in between "casual" and "sophisticated" style. E.g., it's definitely "classy," but because of the "rugged" construction, I don't think it would be a good choice for someone who wears a suit and dress shoes everyday.

    The only very miniscule negatives:

    1. It shows scratches in the Coffee Brown color. Some people call this "character," some call it annoying. I don't mind.

    2. It starts out very tight, then stretches to fit the number of cards you put in it. This isn't a bad thing, per se, as long as you always carry the same number of cards! If you carry 8 cards for a few weeks, then ditch the extras and carry only 4 after that, it's going to be really loose. I carried ONE extra card for a week, and it's even a little looser than I'd like it to be now.

Overall though, if you like a small wallet, definitely give it a try. I'm guessing if it ever dies, I'll be buying the same thing again!

Well made, sturdy, thin, and holds all of my cards. Fits nicely in a front pocket with my flashlight and keys.
