The postures can be re-sequenced, repeated or skipped according to the practitioner's needs and preferences to create 100's of different yoga experiences. The CD comes with a 16 page booklet that includes sequencing guidelines, suggested sequences, and clear, detailed explanations of the pranayamas.

The postures on the CD are accessible to beginners as well as challenging to those who have been practicing for years. The 17 postures include 3 inversions and 2 twists in addition to standing postures, back bends and forward bends. Both the physiological benefits and body/mind components of each posture are incorporated into the instruction. Includes a relaxation to an original musical piece from Mark Kelso's For God Alone.

About the Author

All instruction on Sadhana: The Daily Practice of Yoga is beautifully presented by Sudhakar Ken McRae, founder and director of the Peace Of Mind Center for Yoga & Meditation in Charlottesville, Virginia. Ken, formerly a Senior Yoga Instructor and Program Director at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts taught over 30,000 students while at Kripalu.

He has been a student-practitioner of yoga, meditation, and the body/mind connection for 23 years. Ken is trained in the Iyengar system, is Kripalu Certified, and has conducted special studies with Ester Myers, a senior student of Vanda Scaravelli. He is known for his meticulous, balanced, good humored instruction.

My students and I are enjoying this innovative way to practice yoga at home. Programming one's own practice session helps us use our own creativity and maintain an element of newness each time we practice. More fun and effective than following the same old cassette or video!

This cd is great for anyone looking to practice yoga at home. The instructions are clear and precise. The mood set by the instructor is friendly and supportive. Highly recommended.
