5.0 out of 5 stars How does this band(and others like it) go all but unnoticed?, August 22, 2000

That is the question you will be asking yourself over and over again as you listen to the multi-talented sounds of No Motiv. The band creates a smooth landscape of 12 songs that can be fast, slow, emotional, heavy, catchy, and just all out sweet sounding the whole time. I only wish bands like this could get popular without having to change their style. There are so many good,"better than the trash on the radio" songs on here it's not funny. For instance "The Waiting Hurt" is perhaps the best punk song I have heard during this first half of the year 2000. Even though you shouldn't need much more explanation of how good these guys are. If you wanna get a good idea of what they sound like.....it's like a not as hard Craig's Brother with a Midtown/Get Up Kids/Jimmy Eat World twist. Like I said very smooth tunes pick this one up at all costs. Killer tracks are- "The Waiting Hurt," "Stay," "Somewhere," and "Empty."

I'm still amazed by the songwriting. I cant' wait to hear their next album. If you get a chance, check them out live - you won't be disappointed. And if you like No Motiv, be sure to look out for another great Oxnard band, the Whereabouts.
