Saeco Royal Cappuccino SuperAutomatic Espresso Coffee and Cappuccino Machine

I spent a long time hunting for a great automatic coffee machine. Saeco pluses compared to other machines are:

1. Very large capacity water tank, that is easy to fill
2. High quality construction - it's solid and well designed. It's very simple to access the internal grinding mechanism for occasional cleaning. It is actually intended for semi-commercial use, and the quality shows.
3. It has two water pumps, so for example you can make cappucinos and brew coffee at the same time - or dispense hot water and make espresso simultaneously.. etc
4. The milk frother attachment on the side sounds dodgy, but works amazingly well (you just insert the tube into a container of milk, and the machine pumps it through a foaming attachment into your coffee)
5. Beans are ground to perfection, and disposal is clean and simple
6. The entire (large) unit is on a swivel base
7. The electronic controls allow you to set a wide range of preferences, such as how much to fill your cups, how hot the water should be, when to remind you to perform descaling etc.
8. Descaling is as simple as running the automatic descaling function when the machine reminds you to
9. Machine is extremely simple to use - just press a button and you'll have perfect coffee in no time. It also has a timer, and one button standby mode. Visiting friends get a real kick out of "making" their own coffee now.

10. My full size coffee mugs fit under the dispenser - you don't have to suffer with tiny cafe style cups.

My only gripe with the machine is that it is very noisy when grinding and tamping the beans - but the process is over in less than a minute.
If you love coffee, and can stomach the price tag, do yourself a favour and buy a Saeco. Life's too short to be drinking bad coffee.
