Saeco Incanto - one amazing machine!,
This review is from: Saeco 00065 Incanto Rapid Steam SBS Fully Automatic Espresso Machine, Silver (Kitchen)
My wife and I recently got this machine as a gift from her company. We opened it up, and followed the quick start guide. Within about 5-10 minutes, the machine was setup, primed, and we were drinking our first cups of espresso!
The machine is very easy to use, and surprisingly easy to clean as well. The steamer is incredibly fast. After a few grinder settings, and turning that SBS knob all the way to the right, we were able to make very nice espressos and cappuccinos. This super-automatic truly justifies the price tag. Our drip machine is now in permanent storage. I'm not an expert on great coffee, or some critic who slurps and spits and gives you a 10 page report. However, I've had lots of different types of coffee, and I know what tastes good to me. This machine just so happens to make some of the best coffee / espresso that I've ever tasted. I'm sure some critics might disagree on this, but they also seem to imply that everyone has an unlimited budget or that their taste buds are superior to yours and mine. With that said, I'm sure anyone who enjoys drinking espresso will find that this machine does a remarkable job. The only negative issues I can find are very minor. The machine will release a little excess water into the drip tray after making a few drinks. This is not a big deal since you will need to dump the coffee grinds after brewing several cups, you just dump the drip tray as well. (I've read some forums where people were sending the machines back because they did this. They are insane). Also, my machine was mis-packed and I got 2 cleaning brushes and manual primer pumps, and no water filter or brew group key. This was fixed with a simple phone call to Saeco. Overall, this machine is the focal point of our house. We tend to get visitors alot more now! Some good extras to buy would be a milk frothing container, an assortment of Torani syrups, lots of good espresso beans, and MORE CUPS for all your new friends!

The machine is easy to use and makes really good coffee.
The milk frother works better than on my previous Saeco Italia and produces Perfect foam every time. Love it!

I bought this machine as a christmas present for my parents a little over a year ago, and they love it! It's very well designed, easy to use, easy to clean, and makes wonderful coffee.
The compact design is perfect to save space in small kitchens, but if you are not space-constrained you should consider the Vienna model (or, if you are a cappuccino drinker, the Vienna Deluxe) which are considerably cheaper and offer the same features and reliability in a slightly larger package. You can't go wrong with Saeco!

After doing a lot of research over a 4-week period, we decided that this was the machine we wanted (especially since we found it on sale). We have not been disappointed - it makes excellent coffee, and easy to use and clean. Although this is an expensive machine, we are very glad we made this purchase.
Positives: * Excellent espresso made quickly * Minimal time delay between steaming and brewing (in either order) Negatives: * It is noisier than I'd like - it makes 3 loud clicks as it compresses the grounds Comments * When steaming, make sure to let the steamer fully heat up before putting your milk underneath. It needs 5-10 seconds to flush the water out and build up a good solid head of steam :) * Be sure to remove & thoroughly rinse the brew unit weekly * Try lots of different kinds of beans to see what you like

After researching this product and reading the great reviews I finally put down the bucks and purchased this machine. No disapointments! It's been very easy, out of the box, reading the manual which I felt was well written with their visual diagrams I was up and running with my first cup. The steaming and frothing was amazing and ready to go imediately. I normally don't take the time to write a review but because this machine actually performs so great I felt inclined to share my experience to help others. You won't regret it!

After nearly a month of use, we find this machine to be a wonderful addition to our home. The coffee and cappucino that it makes are excellent, as is it's milk frothing capability. Just remember to empty the steam line of water into your mug first, and get it hot and steamy (really, the best way to preheat your mug before brewing for a truly hot cup of cappuccino!). It is easy to clean and so far, entirely without fault. We love the bypass so we can easily make decaf, and our guests are able to help themselves with ease. We can't imagine going back to our old brewer and who'd want to?!? The instructions are barely adequate, but do the job. The unit did not come with a water filter or another tool the instructions said were required. A call to Saeco resolved that "problem" immediately and the water filter came 1 day after calling the company on Dec 26th. As the filter isn't necessary to start brewing, we were enjoying our coffee within 1 hour of opening the box. Marvelous!

Machine works great!! I was a little sceptical about buying a product with so many moving parts for home use!! To date the product has worked very well. We use the product multiple times during a day. Totally user friendly and NO MORE MESS everywhere. I highly reccomend this product and the seller.

We purchased the machine and enjoyed 3 espressos a day for about 10 months. Then the coffee tapping mechanism began to malfunction. We have exchanged the machine for a replacement, I look forward to seeing how this one lasts. Has anyone found instruction manuals online?

I bought this Incanto a few months ago. I ended up choosing a Saeco for my kitchen because I was pleased with the performance of the Saeco Professional Royal we use in another building. The Incanto has made a good espresso and Caffe Americano -- I am satisfied with both of these. I also make cappucinos. Cappucino making is why I would give the Incanto a 4 and not a 5. The steam apparatus is what they call a panarello. This device allows more people without experience to make an adequate foamed milk. On my Royal, the steam device is the thin tube similar to what a barista would use in an espresso shop. You can get superb steamed foam this way, but it probably takes longer for most people to learn how to use. The other thing I have learned is the quality of your product really relies on a quality coffee bean that you enjoy -- experiment for roast, taste and flavor. The Incanto is aesthetically designed, and I do not find it too large to enjoy its presence on my kitchen counter.

Love it, Love it, and Love it! This machine makes the best espressos and Lattes I have ever had. Best part and the thing that separates it from its competitors is that it can go from steaming to brewing with NO delays. The machine starbucks sells, the DeLonghi EAM3200 Magnifica takes 3 minutes between steam and brew. It's a no brainier...No more Starbucks....... This machine will pay for itself within a year. If you can afford it buy it, if not, buy it anyway. :)
