Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

With its beautiful, easy-to-use design, this 5-cup automatic drip coffeemaker brews great-tasting coffee and nicely compliments any kitchen decor. The unit's thermal-insulated stainless-steel and carbon-fiber carafe functions not only as an attractive serving piece, but it also keeps 40 ounces of coffee hot for up to five hours. The coffeemaker offers a push-button control panel, with a digital display and blue LED indicator lights, which allows for simple programming of the automatic timer. The unit's pause-and-serve function makes it easy to pour a quick cup midbrew, and at the end of the brewing cycle, the appliance automatically shuts off for safety. Other highlights include a 40-ounce top-filling water reservoir, a top-loading filter basket with a removable internal basket for easy coffee loading and removal, and cord storage to help keep countertops tidy. As needed, wipe the exterior of both the thermal carafe and the coffeemaker with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. The inside of the thermal carafe and all removable parts of the coffeemaker should be washed by hand in soapy water, rinsed thoroughly, and dried. The coffeemaker measures 12 by 8-1/4 by 14-1/2 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Product Description

With its sleek look and durable steel-body construction, this 40oz (8-Cup) coffeemaker provides an array of convenient features. The unit brews coffee directly into its 40-ounce stainless-steel and carbon fiber carafe by way of the specially designed carafe lid, effectively sealing in the heat and ensuring optimal flavor. In addition, the carafe is thermal insulated, providing five hours of heat retention without the concern of burnt-tasting coffee. Other highlights include a convenient top-filling water tank and top-loading filter basket and a blue power indicator light. For safety, the coffeemaker shuts off automatically when brewing is complete, and its cord stores neatly for tidy countertops. The coffeemaker measures 12 by 8-1/4 by 14-1/2 inches and carries a one-year parts-and-labor warranty.

4.0 out of 5 stars I don't get the complaints!!!, March 15, 2009

I honestly don't get all the negativity here!!! I have used all of the "cheap" brands of coffeemakers over the years - Mr. Coffee, Black & Decker, Braun, etc. I was sick and tired of buying a new one every year, so we invested in this mid-priced Saeco and WE LOVE IT! It confirms the thought that you get what you pay for. We did not experience the "thermos" effect, nothing broke, I do not find this hard to clean either and MOST IMPORTANTLY - the coffee tastes GREAT!!! I do have one suggestion for Saeco - put a water level guide on the exterior. That said, I just used my 2 cup measuring cup & fill it 2 1/2 times and I'm good to go. Is everyone else thrashing this coffeemaker around causing parts to break? We wash ours e/o day (that's how often we have time to make coffee on average) with no problem. My Starbucks finally tastes like Starbucks in the coffee house!! I highly recommend this coffeemaker AND their espresso makers are wonderful too. Well worth the money. BUY SAECO AND YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

This is a great coffee machine. Makes great coffee and keeps it hot. The container is insulated, a bit heavy, but works well. The overall look of the coffee machine is great and stylish.

2.0 out of 5 stars Saeco, January 18, 2009

This review is from: Saeco TDCM-CC Renaissance 8-Cup Digital Drip Coffeemaker, Black (Kitchen)
I purchased this coffee maker as the reviews had mentioned not having that burned taste. This is correct, no more burn taste and the coffee does stay warm for several hours. I love a fresh ground cup of coffee in the morning and sometimes on a cold afternoon I love to make a good cup of coffee.

The pot is a little heavy and if you don't seat the lid right on the carafe it will over flow.

I use the pot between once and twice a day, after 30 days the pot quit working. It would heat the water but it wouldn't process the water up through the lines and into the carafe. For the price I was disappointed. I have used Mr. Coffee, and a Black and Decker each had worked for years and never had either of them break after a month of use. I took it back for a refund and pulled out my old 39.99 coffee pot!!

If you purchase one, you will enjoy the flavor of the coffee, hopefully it will last longer than 30 days!!
