Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Play is the essential joy of childhood. Through play children learn about themselves, their environment and the larger world. At Safari Ltd. We design toys that assist the joy of play. In a highly technical world, the most endangered species is the imagination. Perhaps we should spell that with a capital "I". Without imagination, the individual loses the creative spark. We intend to never let that happen. We hope your child will enjoy many hours of creative play with this hand painted Safarilogy Dinosaur Liopleurodon.

Product Description

All the dinosaurs that children love to learn about and play with. Sculpted in amazing detail according to the latest paleontological research. Each replica comes with 5-language educational hangtag. All our products are hand-painted, phthalate-free and thoroughly safety tested.

Dan's Dinosaur's was wonderful.

If you have a child who would like this as a toy, I also recommend it as it should endure a child's abuse.

This is a very good representation of Liopleurodon. This animal was made famous in the Walking with Dinosaurs Series from 2000. Contrary to this series, the animal is much smaller only about 40 feet long. If you have a dinosaur or prehistoric animal lover I would definitely get this.

It's amazing. Dinosaur toys have advanced right along with our knowledge of dinosaurs. I remember the old toys I grew up with, with upright T-Rex's, for example, walking on two legs with their tails dragging the ground, a uniform gray. We know of dinosaurs that were undiscovered when I was 7. Makes you want to be a kid again.

The detail is amazing on this toy, the fearsome jaws and teeth, the coloring. It's a very solid, durable-looking toy as well, with no parts ready to snap off. It so revolutionized my son's dinosaur collection (and like any 7-year-old he's a paleontologist in training, pointing out to me that liopleurodon is NOT a dinosaur) that we had to buy him several more dinosaurs. They're all beautifully designed and painted and well worth every penny, the kind of things you wouldn't mind putting on a shelf to admire.

Highly recommended and thoroughly play-tested by a 7-year-old.

This is a very nice depiction of the marine reptile Liopleurodon. The color pattern reminds one of the creature represented on the BBC "Walking With Dinosaurs" series. My only regret is that this toy was not larger. A toy Liopleurodon about a foot long would be awesome. I recommended it to any collector of dinosaurs or prehistoric sea creatures.

Dan's Dinosaur's was wonderful. My son had one request for his 8th birthday; a liopleurodon and Dan's Dinosaurs had it. I thought I would have to look forever for this, but it was very easy. It was shipped quickly and well in time for the party.

Durable, realistic and attractive toy. My son has (ab)used it for a month and it is still like new. My only gripe is that it is rather small - slightly bigger than a matchbox car.

You can use a lot of imagination with this toy. And if you really think about it when you see the gap in the teeth you will notice that the movie was right (walking with the dinosaurs bbc). Because it really must have had to go straight up to eat the fish.

I am an avid enthusiast of evolution and prehistoric life, pliosaurs being one of the prehistoric creatures I'm most fascinated by. I bought this figurine to use as a decoration on my desk and he looks good guarding my computer! The coloration is similar to the Liopleurodon featured in Walking With Dinosaurs. I'm extremely impressed with the quality. It feels heavy in your hand, is not hollow, and is made of a slightly rubbery plastic with a small amount of flexibility. If you are an enthusiast like me, I recommend this figurine. If you have a child who would like this as a toy, I also recommend it as it should endure a child's abuse. Just make sure you stress to your child that this pliosaur is NOT a dinosaur, but a marine reptile. Now I simply need a Leedsicthys for him to feast upon.

My son looked for this creature last Christmas and I couldn't find it. When looking for a pufferfish this year I came across this item. a good size, sturdy and well made, perfect for my son.
