5.0 out of 5 stars Great book on Webkit and iPhone development, April 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Safari and WebKit Development for iPhone OS 3.0 (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) (Paperback)
This is the best book on mobile web apps, especially iPhone apps. I have a background in CSS, javascript and PHP, but I thought I would have to learn objective-C to create apps for the iPhone. I found out about WebKit on the internet and I wanted to learn more. While some books touch on WebKit, this book explains it in detail.

I recommend some background in CSS, but you don't have to be a technical wizard to learn from this book. I was creating web-based apps for the iPhone in a matter of hours. I want to convert some of my existing web pages to look good on an iPhone. This book showed me how to make my web apps look like native iPhone apps. This information will be useful when I start working on iPad apps.

This book saved me hours on the learning curve, and since I can now tell my clients that I can create mobile apps, my business is increasing. Mobile apps are the future. This book will move you to the front of the line in this new area.
