My husband bought this for me when I got pregnant and I liked it so much I have another copy laying around just waiting to give to another mom-to-be. We bought the other book by this author (the baby handling tips) for some friends after they had their baby and loved that book too.

The book is really funny, I highly recommend it!

Just like the Safe Baby Handling Tips w/Wheel Of Responsibility, Safe Baby Pregnancy Tips is absolutely brilliant and hilarious. It's a must for an expecting pregnant couple with a sense of humor.

Two of my personal favorites are "Reliable Pregnancy Tests", which takes a jab at fortune telling, "Sharing with Friends", which made me think of a Pregnant Girls Gone Wild, and "Getting Exercise", which was like Rodney Dangerfield and his Triple Lindy in Back to School.

One other was interesting to me because it has a significant connection to realism. The "Flattering Swimwear" example is a sad but true look into the choices made by some women who wear swimwear and other clothing that clearly isn't made for them. There's a reason the terms "whale tail" and "exploding biscuits" have made their way into the American lexicon.

Some friends and I found this book over the weekend in a book store and it was really funny! It's a heavy laminated cardboard book with about 15 different funny illustrations of what to do or not do when you're pregnant. My only complaint is that is's a thick and heavy-ish $10 cardboard book. I wish it came in paperback so it would be less expensive and lighter for mailing. It's not offensive or crass and it was so good I will be buying a few copies from Amazon for my pregnant friends. :)

I bought this and the "Safe Baby Handling Tips" (red book) as presents for my pregnant wife. At one point she was laughing so hard she had to leave the room so she could catch her breath. The whole family enjoyed it. Of course your reaction to stuff like this depends on your sense of humor and the mood you're in when you read it, but for us it was absolutely worth the money.

Besides buying a normal baby shower gift from her registry, I also bought my friend this book. It was a hit at the shower, everyone was passing it around and laughing their heads off!

This was the first "non-medical" book I received and so appreciated the humor in it!!! A definite gift, especially for first time parents!!

I read this a few years ago at my best friends sons home. They had received it as a gift when they were pregnant. I thought it was darling and just sooooo funny. It is a boardbook type so will stand up. I liked it so well I also bought the follow-up book to send to my daughter and son in law when they became pregnant. Would make a cute shower gift.

Safe Baby Handling Tips RED BOOK is better...this one wasn't that funny. I recommend the other one...(The Red Book is hilarious)

This board book has a funny illustration style. It is important to note that this item is a gag book and not an actual tip book in comedy form.
The pages are all illustrations with no text, and many of the tips are just common sense and negligible. The hardcover version may be different, but it is triple the price of that one. Not a bad gift to give an expecting mother so she gets a chuckle out of it.
