5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't think it could get any better, August 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Safe Harbor, Second Edition (Paperback)
So, I was wrong!!! How do you improve on perfection?
Radclyffe is one of those multi-talented writers, who gives us a chance to explore her heroines' feelings in even greater depth.
Radclyffe a longstanding author of excellence, gets to push the envelope a little bit. Dr.Victoria King's reluctant attempts to make sense of the comfortable, even life she has slipped into turn deliberate if not urgent soon after the arrival of Reese Conlon, LtCol USMCR.
Reese, now a civilian, is the new Deputy Sheriff of Provincetown. Soon, she finds herself entangled with lives she never could have imagined. Reese's stoicism and sense of responsibility goes far beyond the norm. But still waters often run very, very deep. Before long, Reese proves to be the most delicious kind of character (and Rad's specialty): a woman on the verge of a major life breakthrough. As Reese begins experiencing her own new feelings of sexual desire, a lightning song blasting through her veins both blessing and burning, throwing her equilibrium entirely off balance.

Rad although known for erotic love scenes, in this story subscribes to the theory that every love scene should move the story along.

These are unforgettable characters who will capture your heart. This is not a story to rush through, but rather to savor time and again.

Rad addicts will be happy with this fix.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Power of Love, August 31, 2003

The quintessential lesbian dreamboat, Reese Conlon is a tall, dark deputy sheriff with innocence and an honor code. She chases bad guys, defends gay youths and discovers love in Provincetown. No one creates a better butch than Radclyffe and in Reece she reached her zenith. I love all of Rad's books, but Safe Harbor is my all-time favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Radclyffe Hasn't Written a Bad Book, January 9, 2005

I love everything Radclyffe has written. She has never disappointed me. This book is no different. Reese Conlon is a Marine who is tired of the service and takes a job as a sheriff's deputy in Provincetown. Everyone suspects she's a lesbian because she "looks like one." Truth be told, she's not sure herself because she's never been anything... no relationships, no attractions, just the Marines. Reese meets Dr. Tory King, the only doctor in town, while investigating a break-in a the local clinic. There is an immediate attraction. However, Reese doesn't understand her new feelings and Tory is scared to express her own. Radclyffe has hit another home run with this incredible book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two characters you don't want to miss, August 19, 2006
This review is from: Safe Harbor, Second Edition (Paperback)
I really enjoyed the two main characters. They have such integrity. They don't play games with each other. They have interesting lives and are confident in themselves.

Don't miss this book.

I read a portion of the story on the internet and liked it so much I wanted to read the complete tale in print. An excellent book to bring to the beach or on a plane or on your couch or ...

Look for the newest edition published by Bold Strokes Books October 2004.

This is a Keeper !

Don't miss any of the books in this series -

Safe Harbor
Beyond the Breakwater
Distant Shores, Silent Thunder
Storms of Change - available October 2006
