Great story from the first page to the last. Senetra Blain is on the run from her abusive ex-husband. He is from a powerful family and refuses to let her go even though they are divocred. He finds her once and almost beat her to death so this time she goes where she is sure he can't find her. She even changes her name to Regina Novak. She meets Alex Wilson and fights the attraction to him for fear that he will be like her ex. He realizes who she is but knows that something bad had to have happened to her since she has changed her name. When he reveals that he knows who she really is, she feels that he may be one of her ex-husband's contacts and prepares to run again. In the end all secrets are revealed and she finally opens her heart to love again. Great story with a lot of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This book was the first time I've read Candace Poarch. I just thought it was okay. I got a little distracted when Kim is called Senetra by folks who don't know her by that name early on in the book, but all in all it was okay - I'll probably try reading this author again in the future.

I LOVE THIS BOOK AND I AM TELLING EVERYONE TO READ THIS BOOK AND I WANT TO READ THE OTHER TWO BOOKS THAT ARE IN THIS SERIES.
