This product is well named. I buy it in bulk every winter. I am a breeder and am vitally concerned with my dogs' well being. I have never had any problems with it, and many other breeders, trainers and commercial dog oriented organizations use it.

This product is fabulous. Our dog almost died a few years ago from traditional snow-melting salt. She became extremely dehydrated after licking it off her paws (in addition to crying from painful cracked paws), and needed to be on an IV at the Vet for two full days. Once we moved out of the city and I needed a snow-melting product, I vowed not to use regular salt and found this. It starts melting the snow almost on contact, and is safe for the lawn and environment in addition to animals. It really does work wonderfully and I think it's worth the price.

NOT Safe for your lawn or plants

Great product
We love this ice melter, but couldn't find the 35 pound pails locally. I was pleased that we could order it online, saving money in this cold icy winter of Illinois.
