One of the BEST plays I've ever read!,
By chicklit "chicklit" (LA, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Safe (A Play) (Paperback)
I have read A LOT of plays in my day and not since Tracy Letts Osage August County and Colette Freedman's Sister Cities has a play THIS COMPELLING hit the market! Glazer's characters are deeply compelling and they go to disturbing places that he has the courage and genius to dare them to go. The dialogue is saturated with rapid paced wit which is impossible to put down (I read it cover to cover). There are so many staid boy-meets-girl plays out there and this takes the thematic to an entirely new place. The roles for women are superb and Glazer's three generational characters enjoy unique voices which seem to jump off of the page. This is the kind of play which should be done all over the United States and Europe as it is one of those rare gems that not only forces an audience to think, it truly will entertain them as well. Bravo!!!!
