This review is from: On the Safe Side: Teach Your Child to Be Safe, Strong, and Street-Smart (Paperback)
This is an excellent resource for parents who want to teach personal safety to their kids without scaring them. It is out of date, since it was written and published before the internet boom, so the information about sexual offender databases, and the accesability regarding employee background checks is inaccurate.I would recommend purchasing the updated version entitled, "Raising Careful, Confident Kids in a Crazy World". It's essentially the same book, but with updated information. I would say that since technology has advanced since this version was published in 1999, she needs to revise it again, but otherwise, it's excellent and very helpful.
