Good idea gone wrong,
This review is from: SafeFit Baby Night Sight in Brown (Baby Product)
I wish that this worked. However, the light is so dim that you can hardly see the small mirror itself at night, let alone the baby. The only benefit to this mirror is that *sometimes* the baby finds the dim light going on and off to be amusing. You can amuse the baby just as well with a regular, larger mirror that has a colorful border.

Light has no purpose,

This mirror works very well in the daytime, but as soon as the sun goes down, forget being able to see your baby! My husband and I have agreed that the light on this mirror is useless. I gave this mirror one star because the whole reason we purchased it was for the light option. We will definitely be returning this mirror for a better one!

Where's the Baby?,

This thing is impossible to install so that you can see the baby, the light is useless and when it fell the mirror cracked.

Light is not bright enough, gets turned off easily, mirror is too small to really see. I suspect it will work better with a toddler than an infant.

While it was nice having a mirror, it was useless at night. The light is to dim to illuminate the mirror so you couldn't see the baby. The mirror size is good, any bigger and it may distract you.

We have a Ford Explorer, and have yet to find a way to mount this mirror where we can see it and have it reflect the baby. Very disappointing. Seemed by the pictures that it would be perfect... but we have not yet gotten it into a location where it is effective. It is also very hard to mount and have it stay put. I would not recommend this product for anyone who has a vehicle like ours... Too bad. It seemed like a great idea.

The mirror is great in the daytime - but like the others said, the light is useless. The whole reason I bought this one is for the light. Save your money - dont get this product.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS!,

So I think the batteries for the remote control cost more than the mirror itself. I think the mirror needed batteries too. The light worked for less than a month and then we needed to buy more batteries. The light turns on via the remote and automatically turns off - early. We had a hard time deciding whether we should buy the one with the light or a bigger mirror. We chose this and fully regret it because the light is weak and it is extremely cost INEFFECTIVE. We do not recommend this product.

good mirror, weak light,

We used this mirror when we took a 700 mile (round trip) drive with our son when he was 2 weeks old and it works well in very dark areas. If there are streetlights, however, the light is too weak to illuminate the baby's face (and I was using freshly charged NiCad rechargeable batteries). My son is now 6 months old and the light stopped working a few months ago, not sure how long it actually lasted as we bought a minivan when he was 3 months old and I just use the dome light to check on him now. The mirror's curvature makes it great for getting a look at more than just the baby's face - some mirrors I tried I could't even see his whole face when he was much smaller, this one I can actually see if his pacifier is in his lap or not. Good for small cars (we still use it in the Honda Civic on the rare occasions he's in that car instead of the minivan). It'd be a 5-star if the light was brighter and more durable, or if it was just a mirror without a light, but it raised expectations by having added features!

I bought this for the light, but have never been able to really see my son with the light on. I usually just use the light from my mobile phone. Also, I used this light 2-3 times and the thing just stopped working. I haven't checked to see if it is the battery in the remote or the bulb just burnt out. Either way it was pretty much a waste of money.
