The perfect carseat for sedans,
This review is from: SafeGuard Go Hybrid Booster - Grey (Baby Product)
I have a sedan, three kids, and two of them are in carseats. The previous seats we had left no room for our oldest son to comfortably and safely sit in the backseat.
These carseats are perfect for families short on space. They fit exactly in the seat with no overflow. I have one seat in the middle of the backseat and one near a door. The entire third seat is empty. The seats took less than 5 minutes to install properly. A top latching tether hook is needed as well as a headrest. Make sure your vehicle has this before purchasing the seats because they will not work properly without it. These seats are an excellent idea for front facing safety. The back has no form to it. When not in use, it flops over. When placed into the car, the back of the seat forms to fit the car. Brilliant. The seats also fold up easily and come with a carrying pouch for quick transport. Although the padding isn't as plush as the Britex seats that we had, the padding is comfortable. The straps look more comfortable as well. The headrest of the seat easily adjusts so that the child's head is protected no matter their height. These seats offer 5-point harness security for children up to 60-pounds. It can then be used as a booster for children up to 100 pounds. My only complaint is that it takes some time to learn to adjust the belts because the harness system is different than any seat I've had experience with. The learning curve is not long though. For $199 a seat, this model allows value and versitility for the money. I have priced these from different retailers and $199 with free shipping is as good as it gets.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

While I can't say much for the vendor I purchased this from, the seat itself is great. It is very easy to install and comes with the latch system which I refuse to buy a seat without. If you have never seen the difference between using the latch system versus a seat belt I highly suggest you look into it. My son who is 2 1/2 and weighs 40 pounds loves this seat. He said he likes it better than his britax marathon except for sitting lower. It is very secure and also folds up nice and compact for travel. I really can't offer any complaints. We bought this because he is quickly outgrowing his britax marathon seats and I wanted a good replacement. It is on the high side but seriously, when it comes to protecting my child I really can't put a price on that. There is a lot of garbage in the marketplace when it comes to booster seats and this is by far the tops. It is also nice that when he gets a little older the head part can be removed and it be used as just a booster seat with the bottom only.

I paid over $200 for this product for my 5 year old daughter. I wanted to keep her in a harness style seat for as long as possible. I figure the price was worth it if I could use it till she was 8-9 years old. And the light weight sold me. Found great write ups on the web for this seat and I went to my nearest high price children's store and purchased this seat. Six months into using this seat, my daughter got into her seat and was holding onto the side headrest and the whole thing broke off from the plastic. When the item fell off, I realized that the headrest was only made of flimsy fabric over foam. No reinforcements whatsover! No wonder it broke off! I was so angry at how cheaply this product is made! I continued to use it and 2 months later the other one broke off. I have since stopped using it because the broken plastic on the headrest is like a sharp blade. The seat is so difficult to take apart, my husband and I cannot even figure out how to remove the back portion so that we may use only the booster seat. I cannot find anything on the web. They have changed their website so there is no information available. I do not recommend purchasing this product. We have gone through many high end car seats and booster seats for both my girls. I have not seen one so cheaply made for the price charged!

Good for travel,
This review is from: SafeGuard Go Hybrid Booster - Grey (Baby Product)
The seat has no shell, so I am not convinced it's as safe as other seats for everyday use. We bought this seat to use when we go to Grandma's and need to put it in an extra car. Note that not all our relatives have new enough cars with tether to even use the seat, though.
Installation is somewhat easy, but of course there are tons of very strict DO and DO NOT rules that you must learn about the seat. It will take some time to read the manual and learn it. Only then might you be able to install it, with practice, in one minute. I like how the harness adjusts simply to any size child, so there is no need to rethread straps. As a backup I like this seat because I feel much better about my 3-year-old using this, with a 5 pt. harness, than any booster on the market. We won't use it in booster mode since we bought it for the harness. Glad to have it, but again not for everyday use for us. I went with the Radian XT for that.

We bought two of them and couldn't be happier! With twins on the way and already having two toddlers and were trying to figure out how to fit four car seats in our minivan comfortably. These booster seats are wonderful. They don't take up space like regular car seats yet I feel like we haven't compromised safety for roominess in the van. Easy to switch from car to car as well. Great buy, highly recommended.

This booster seat is great. My daughter loves it. Compact, sturdy, secure, and easy to manipulate straps.
