This is a great game for anyone who enjoys adventure games or puzzles. It isn't an action game, you won't be shooting anything or blowing things up, it's a puzzle game. You'll spend much of your time thinking, going through things in your head, trying to figure out how to get to the next safe. The variety in the different safes, locks, etc. is good and the clues are pretty sparse, so it isn't an easy game. It's a challenging game that you'll want to stick with to the end.

Although I did not purchase this game from Amazon, if you are thinking about buying it, please do. If, of course, you are into games that don't require precision aim, shooting abilities and the ability to respawn. This game is pretty addicting, considering I bought it on a Friday night and didn't stop playing it until I had beaten it 15 hours later. There aren't many clues to go on (which can be frustrating!), the puzzles are all different and most are pretty challenging. This is the first video game I had to break out a pen and paper to play with. The story line is kind of "blah", but the brain stimulation is well worth playing through it. I really enjoy hidden object games, and since there aren't many in the video game console genre, Safecracker is definitely a great alternative!

Great brain stimulation and as the review before, I also had to break out a piece of paper and pen. A very addictive game and a very fun game. I highly recommend this game.

I was looking for a game to challenge me a bit. I think I might have bit off more than I can chew with Safecracker. The object is to find Adams' will, in his huge house, in his millions of safes. Sound easy? Not. Fun...yes. This game will make you think and will take some time. After an evening spent with my husband on the laptop searching for clues and me holding the controls we managed to get a few safes open. It was tough, but it did achieve an evening of fun spent together doing what I love, playing a game with my husband.
This is not for young kids, unless they are geniuses, but for a family with young children and everyone works together, I'd highly recommend. Only thing that drove me absolutely crazy was the Wii remote. It's sometimes very hard to get the remote to click on some of the tiny objects on the screen. I wish the arrow pad would work like the classic controllers so that I didn't have to spend precious thinking time trying to click on the stupid screen. |
