Further, 1 of the 2 only worked once, we tried it again a few days later and it no longer worked.

I used this to booby-trap political signs in my front yard. One of them works, the other was DOA. Worked great when the neighbor from 3 doors down tried taking my sign at 2am.

I ordered five of personal alarms (1 for my wife and 4 for her cousins). Out of the 5 we ordered ONLY 2 WORKED! Further, 1 of the 2 only worked once, we tried it again a few days later and it no longer worked. We not sure what the problem is yet, maybe we need to change out all the batteries for new ones? Either way, WHAT GOOD IS A PERSONAL ALARM THAT DOESN'T WORK!!! Total waste of my money, wish I have not ordered, these. Please go with another company....

These devices aren't rocket science, you pull the chord and they make a loud sound. I teach self defense and I generally have a few personal alarms which I give to women who want to learn to protect themselves. I chose this one because it's cheap but also reasonably well made.

We ordered 12 of these units for friends and family. They have a battery included. All but 2 were dead on arrival, and the two others were dead within minutes. That left us with a problem of now sourcing and installing new batteries. They were $6 each at a local chain store. We found some online that were much less expensive and are now waiting for them to arrive. The units have to be taken apart with a mini screwdriver to change the battery.

The product, once it has a good battery works well. But having it not in working order on arrival is a major disappointment and a hassle. I would not buy from this supplier again.

There were no instructions, so we did not know how to use it. Why is there a button-like indentation when it does not do anything? What does the little pull string do? How do you turn it off when it breaks?
It started CHIRPING randomly after 3 days. Two days later, it just went off randomly. We could not turn it off. I ended up DRIVING OVER IT two times which broke the case open. I was then able to remove the battery to turn it off.

Any good reviews must be fake.

I ordered 15 of these alarms for my friends and family and FOUR of them did not work. No sound whatsoever. I had assumed that they all worked and when I did get around to testing them, it was too late to return them.
