This is a great seat for the money! By far the most comfortable out there in such a lightweight design. We bought the first generation of this seat, and have received the improved product modifications from the good people at IMMI as they have come out. (The side wings on the headrest and the crotch pad insert have been improved.) Nice memory foam in the seat, great armrests for little arms, and the ability to use a five-point harness for safety long after the other seats have gone to the use of a mere shoulder strap.

This seat also allows for other passengers to ride quite comfortably alongside - not bulky like many of the other seats out there. We also appreciate the fact that this seat will grow with our child who is already tall...many others seemed to top out early, and have headrests and side wings that didn't adjust to fit taller children. This seat has a buckle design that will not pinch the occupants legs, a concern that we noted with several other seats.

As the other reviewer noted, this seat is a breeze to travel with - very light and fits in a larger carry on bag.(Not for use on the airplane, however.) Installs in minutes, and provides a very comfortable ride for your little one.

Because its back is shaped by your car seat, ours in unable to recline while installed on our cars back bench seat. While on vacation, however, we rented a minivan with separate seats in the back that reclined. While we did not recline the seat much, a few inches provided the angle that our child needed to nap peacefully in the seat.

We also were happy purchasing this seat from a US company known for its safety restraint systems in the age of shoddy or dangerous import products and recalls.

Again, we are very happy with our seat!

Love it! The only thing is you have to have a full backseat with headrest and can't use it on an airplane - but it's lightweight, so easy to install/take in and out and very nice for when we traveled (has its own bag, we checked it as luggage, it's soft enough that it doesn't break or wear or anything from luggage people tossing it around, snapped it right in to everyone's car (latch or seatbelt, they both take about 2 minutes tops) and we were good. Plus Lil' Duck loves his "racecar" seat - it comes in black and other colors too if you don't like the red, we got it in red like Lightning McQueen ;).

I have a sedan, three kids, and two of them are in carseats. The previous seats we had left no room for our oldest son to comfortably and safely sit in the backseat.

These carseats are perfect for families short on space. They fit exactly in the seat with no overflow. I have one seat in the middle of the backseat and one near a door. The entire third seat is empty.

The seats took less than 5 minutes to install properly. A top latching tether hook is needed as well as a headrest. Make sure your vehicle has this before purchasing the seats because they will not work properly without it.

These seats are an excellent idea for front facing safety. The back has no form to it. When not in use, it flops over. When placed into the car, the back of the seat forms to fit the car. Brilliant.

The seats also fold up easily and come with a carrying pouch for quick transport.

Although the padding isn't as plush as the Britex seats that we had, the padding is comfortable. The straps look more comfortable as well. The headrest of the seat easily adjusts so that the child's head is protected no matter their height.

These seats offer 5-point harness security for children up to 60-pounds. It can then be used as a booster for children up to 100 pounds.

My only complaint is that it takes some time to learn to adjust the belts because the harness system is different than any seat I've had experience with. The learning curve is not long though.

For $199 a seat, this model allows value and versitility for the money. I have priced these from different retailers and $199 with free shipping is as good as it gets.

I generally don't review things, but I have to say I had some issues with the installation of this seat. First of all, I installed it using a seat belt because our younger daughter is in the center section with her car seat, and we can't hook up two seats to one latch connection. It is not easy to install, as you have to make sure that the lap portion goes over the arms, and the buckle has to travel through two loops that are under the seat. That doesn't sound complicated, but it's very difficult to ultimately get a tight fit (and yes, I did extend the seat belt all the way out first). The top tether is also a little bizarre. They give you several more feet of tether belt than you need, so you have to wrap the thing up in a big ball so it's not a choking hazard. This seemed like overkill to me, but perhaps it's needed if you are installing it in a boat and the tether is maybe five feet away from the seat. Finally, there is a DVD included, but it's a mini DVD that only works in a DVD player with a spindle you can attach it to. I have several computers and DVD players in my home, but not one that has a spindle so it's useless to me. Now that it's installed, it seems to be okay, but I really had to dock a few stars due to the extreme difficulty in installing it. I have installed Graco and Britax seats and they were far easier than this thing.

We bought this as a second seat for my 16 month old for my wife's car. The baby only spends about 20 minutes at the most in this carseat and it serves it purpose. For longer trips, we typically drive my car and my car has the Recaro - which is great. Installation is pretty easy with this seat if you have the latch system and feels pretty safe. I agree with other reviewers as far as not enough support if the baby falls asleep as the car seat is more upright than leaning back like the Recaro. For our purposes this seat is great, for long trips I would not recommend. Also, great for travelling on a plane to different areas so you dont have to lug a large carseat. Apparently you can buy an attachment so it can be attached to an airplane seat - We have not done that yet, but will soon.

agree with other reviews about the seat. Well-made, travels well, comfortable for the occupant. also the seat cover comes on and off pretty easily for cleaning.

Recently, i was pleasantly surprised by terrific customer service. By my own stupidity and clumsiness, i broke the headrest. i emailed to the company to see if a replacement part could be purchased and they replied immediately... and then sent me a replacement for free. no charge even for shipping! hard to believe but true.
