I bought this for my 2 year old daughter. At first, she was a little put off by the hard spout because she had been used to the soft, silicone spout used on the cups she had. About the third time I offered the cup to her, she took it and hasn't looked back! This cup keeps the liquids cold for a long time. Not too crazy about the handles. A little awkward, but easily taken off, so they really aren't an issue. I have recently purchased another one of these and hope to use them exclusively.

We've made the transition from bottles with nipples to sippy cups with our year-old boy. We used Avent bottles so the simplest solution transition was to use the Avent sippy cup. It worked splendidly. No problem at all. Next, my wife came home with a second variety, the Safe Sippy by Kid Basix. She wanted it because it was toxic free, plus it's simple and easy to clean.

Our boy made an instant transition to the new sippy cup. No problems. He seemed to find it easier, in fact. So, it's now in heavy rotation with the Avent cups and we've been using it mostly for fruit juices.

I have tried every single sippy cup there is and really wanted to move to BPA free for my children. My kids cannot put this cup down, it keeps drinks colder, it doesnt leak and its the best looking cup on the market. I just got on Kid Basix's website and found out that they have a bunch of other cool new products.

This Sippy cup is a great buy for an eco-loving mom. While I was worried about the shape of the mouth piece, my daughter handled it with ease. At 9 months old, she has completely shifted away from the bottle and now only uses this cup as well as her Kanteen Clean. We have also removed the valve, in order to help promote drinking and not sucking. My only complaint would be for a device to be created to stop the spilling without the valve. As you can tell, it is not a real complaint!

The sippy cup itself is great! Easy to clean and sturdy BUT as soon as the gasket wears it's over because you can not buy replacements. The manufacturer promised to send me some but never did. And if you use them without the gasket it will leak as soon as your child tilts it to take a drink they will get soaked.

I was looking for a sippy cup that was many different features that I needed and this one fit all of those. I wanted a sippy cup that was not plastic because of BPA concerns, I wanted 2 handles for easy carrying, and I wanted a straw cup after reading about teeth and speech problems from actual sippy cups. I was slightly concerned after reading bad reviews, but I love this product. It is just what I was looking for and fits my families perfect fit!

This is the first sippy my 12-month-old has been able to use. She always had trouble with the ones you had to tip up; though she liked to play with them, she didn't drink much. Once I introduced the Safe Sippy, she made the complete transition from bottle to sippy in 24 hours! The short, relatively wide spout was really easy for her to get the hang of. When used with the straw, there is no resistance, so the liquid comes straight out. This makes it easy for her to drink a considerable amount of liquid compared to a spill-proof sippy. When used with the straw, this cup is definitely not spill-proof. If you are looking for something that your toddler can carry around without making a mess, this is not your cup, at least if you want to use the straw.

For me, the lack of being spill-proof is worth dealing with because of how well my baby drinks from it. However, I'm only giving this cup 4 stars because it there must be some way for the manufacturer to include a better spill-proof feature, like a top that prevents leaks. The spill-proof plug they do have is quite annoying; to use it, you have to take apart the cup, pull out the straw, and inset a new plug. Not only does that mean you have to keep track of and pack a tiny rubber plug, but you have to touch the inner parts of the cup to switch it out. This felt very gross and unsanitary when I had to do this at the zoo one weekend! I have now resorted to just packing the sippy inside a ziplock when we go out.

If this cup just had a leak-proof cap, it would be perfect.

I was looking for a steel sippy cup. I like this one, it is easy to clean and my toddler got used to it immediately. For all it's worth, it was only available in pink with free shipping over $25.

I have bought every BPA free, stainless steel, aluminum, you name it sippy cup out there, and this one is the best. Doesn't leak, doesn't dent. My kids love these cups!

Both my daughter and I really like this cup. I started my daughter on it when she was around 6-mos old and after only a few tries she got the hang of it. It is easy to keep clean and super cute looking. I guess the only drawback is that it is a bit heavy and she has yet to be able to lift it up herself, however she does try so I figure its a good challenge for her to take on...
