Product Description

Safety 1st Apex 65 Booster Car Seat The Apex 65 Booster Car Seat from Safety 1st is a fantastic forward facing booster seat. The Safety 1st car seat can handle a child from 22-100 lbs. and from 34 to 57 in. A child should use the five point harness from 22-65 lbs. and the car's belts from 40-100 lbs. This booster car seat from Safety 1st is great for a girl or boy with a neutral style of fabric pattern. The EPP foam in the headrest of the booster seat is for energy absorption during an automobile accident. The foam helps cushion the child's head during a blow. The harness on the Safety 1st car seat is easy to adjust and is done so right from the front of the seat. The 2 piece harness retainer on the booster seat from Safety 1st helps keep the harness in the peroper position at all times. The extra wide seat is an added bonuse with the booster car seat because it can accommodate larger children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Apex 65 Booster Seat, December 22, 2008
This review is from: Safety 1st Apex 65 Booster Car Seat (Baby Product)
After much research, I am again purchasing this car seat to replace the one I had. My 5 year old son and I were involved in a collision (icy roads, someone slid off a neighborhood street and I broadsided them), and the ins. co. is paying to replace the seat since it was in use at the time of impact. My son was not hurt in the least in this collision, #1 reason I am buying it again. It is difficult to move from one car to another, but I can deal with that. The main feature I love is I can use the 5 point harness up to 65 lbs. My son is 43 1/2 inches tall and 38.8 lbs, so I will still get a lot of use out of the 5 point harness, then I will be able to use it as an acutal booster till he is 100 lbs. or 57 inches tall. And price comparatively, it is actually less than some of the convertible car seats that I would not be able to use as long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Safer than a booster seat for a reasonable price, December 13, 2010

I was all set to get a booster seat for my daughter when she turned five. But after doing the research, I decided that it would be safer to keep her in a five-point harness for as long as possible. I found that this seat harnessed at a higher weight for a more reasonable price than other seats that also harnessed at higher weights. I noticed that it is no longer available. My next choice would have been the Graco Nautilus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great car seat!, April 5, 2009

I bought this car seat for my 4 year old son who is tall for his age and weighs 52lbs. We needed the harness style for my husband's truck and trying to find a harnessed car seat for a kid my son's size was almost impossible. Then I found this car seat. My son loves it. He fits in it very comfortably and there is plenty of growing room. I highly recommened this seat for anyone, but especially for larger toddlers.
