Product Description

Baby will always have his own special seat with the Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-Up Booster Seat. This seat turns heads wherever it goes because of its unique fold-up design and simple convenience. Easy to use and easy to store, this booster is perfect for travel, dining out or visiting. Just unfold the legs, unfold the seat and adjust the straps to fit onto any chair, creating a high chair wherever you are. Baby will have a clean, comfy seat with his own tray ? no worries about using questionably clean restaurant high chairs. You can secure him in the 3-point seatbelt which is adjustable to accommodate growth. There's even a little storage compartment for a bib or hand-wipes and the adjustable straps are retractable ? a nice feature that prevents soiling. For babies able to sit up unassisted up to about age 4.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have for travel!, June 8, 2003

This review is from: Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-Up Booster Seat (Baby Product)
We travel extensively with our now 14 month old daughter, and I love this chair!

We bought this chair to replace one of those that attach to a table - we were rarely able to use it because of the way many tables were shaped.

What we like:
1) Lightweight and compact
2) Strong
3) Easy, stable, and secure attachment to, so far, every chair we've tried. (Metal folding, deck chairs with cushions, ladderbacks, etc)
4) Easy to clean.
5) Retractable straps
6) Child safe inside, even without tray attached.
7) Legs that you can optionally fold in or out to change height of chair.
8) Large tray.
9) Great Value!!!!!
10) Can also use this without a chair, on the floor. Great to keep in car, too, for those restaurant stops where there are no highchairs available, or the ones there have bad straps!

So far, there is nothing we don't like, although the small storage compartment is really to small for anything other than a spoon and a napkin - but I don't know what I'd store in there, anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Travel - better than many, February 24, 2003

This review is from: Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-Up Booster Seat (Baby Product)
This little booster folds up compactly and even has a spot to attatch the tray when folded, a feature not available on many boosters. This model has sturdy legs that fold up into the bottom of the seat for a shorter seating level and pop securely in place for a higher seating level. The straps are permanently attatched to the seat and the ones that secure the seat to a chair conveniently roll up into the seat base - no danglers to trip on and no loose straps to lose. I haven't seen this feature on any other booster seat that we have looked at or tried. It also has a handle built into the front of the seat that makes carrying easier. It is true that the tray position is not adjustable, but both my 11 month old daughter and big 2-1/2 year old son fit well in this seat with or without the tray. Besides, with its height adjustment, simply strap it to a chair and push it right up to the table - no need for a tray with bigger kids. This is an excellent choice for high chair and booster seat use especially on the go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great booster for the price, September 11, 2002

This review is from: Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-Up Booster Seat (Baby Product)
We recently purchased this booster to replace the Fold-Up Booster Seat that has gone to live at Grandma's. Since they are made by the same company, similarly priced, and this one has some added features, we decided to upgrade to this newer design. I am so glad we went with this one! Not only is it more compact than the other booster, it is easier to use. I love the retractable straps, as the straps on our other booster got lost, and we had to come up with new ones. Also, the tray attaches to the seat, so no more dropping it in the parking lot of the restaurant while carrying the booster, tray, diaper bag, and baby. The storage compartment is a little small, but it works fine for a few disposable bibs, and a sample-size package of wipes. They tray fits into the dishwasher, so no more scrubbing crusted food off the tray. I agree with other reviewers that the tray is a little snug, and probably won't fit a 4 year-old as the manufacturer recommends, but it fits my 2 year-old just fine with a little room to wiggle (and he's not a skinny toddler). I guess by the time he's 4, he'll be old enough to sit up to the table without the tray anyways.

The only complaint I have about this seat is that it would be nice if the restraint straps were washable, but I guess they wouldn't be very secure if they came off the seat, so I can live with them the way they are. As long as you wipe them down with a washcloth or wipe before any food dries on them, they come pretty clean anyway. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with this booster. Just remember, you get what you pay for. This is an inexpensive, portable booster. If you want large, sturdy, and completely washable, buy a highchair! This is just an occasional substitute.
