5.0 out of 5 stars great product!
This inflatable tub is exactly what I was looking for. When our 8 month old was clearly outgrowing her reclined infant tub seat (which I used in our kitchen sink), I was reluctant to just put her in our enormous soaking tub. She can sit up on her own, but could certainly topple over easily on the slick tub floor. Furthermore, I hated the idea of wasting so much water...

1.0 out of 5 stars The Fun Does Not Last
This is the second of these tubs I have purchased for my son and in just 4 months time a seem on this tub opened up in the exact same place as my first one. Right in front of the drain hole, the floor of the tub separates from the front wall in a 1.5" section and then the tub will not hold water. I am very disappointed bin safety first.

Furthermore, I hated the idea of wasting so much water filling up the tub for such a little person!

This inflatable tub is perfect! It takes just a few minutes to fill up with the perfect amount of water for our little one! I don't worry if she loses her balance a little bit, because she just bumps against the soft inflatable sides.

I suggest keeping it inflated, because blowing it up took some serious lung power and patience. Also, make sure the little plastic drain cap is completely closed tight. The first time I used it, I didn't have the drain cap on tightly, so it leaked. I haven't had a problem with leaking since I figured that out.

This is a great product for that transition time between newborn bath seat and big open tub. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect transition tub!, April 26, 2009
This review is from: Safety 1st Kirby Inflatable Tub (Baby Product)
We have had this tub for a few weeks now and my son (almost 15 months old) just loves it! We went from a traditional infant tub to this b/c our tub is rather large and I didn't want to have to use so much water (and time) to fill the tub up for baths. I also wondered if the 'big' tub would be scary for my son. He just loves this tub-he moves around a lot and has tons of room to splash. He can also lean up against the padded sides and it looks like he is just chillin'-so cute!

After my son outgrew the infant tub, then became too boisterous for the kitchen sink, but was still afraid of the big tub, I found this tub as a solution. It works just right for us right now at 15 months, very comfy and safe and fills up quickly. But it's not very big, so in a few more months we'll probably need to transition to something else. I wish I had bought the Snug Tub instead since that looks a little bit roomier, but I've been very happy with this tub.

Other reviewers have noted problems with seams leaking, especially near the drain plug, which I can imagine since this is not heirloom-quality or anything. :-) But I haven't had trouble with that, perhaps because I leave it inflated and don't use the drain plug-- I just dump it out and hang it by its loop on my shower organizer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Leaks, October 11, 2009

We bought this for a trip because we thought it would be small and easy to travel with. It was great for the first 2 stops but I think the deflating and re-inflating was too much for it and it sprung several small leaks. We tried to mend them with duct tape but ended up throwing it out before our trip was over.

If your baby is big enough to sit up unassisted, consider bathing them in the "big tub" and save your $ for more worthwhile baby products.

1.0 out of 5 stars Would be great if it wasn't defective!, September 11, 2009

My tub ripped after less than 3 months of use. This is the second one I've bought. My first one ripped in the same location, but I thought maybe it was just a defect with that tub. Our son loved it (while it worked for us), so I purchased another tub, only to have it rip in the same location. A tub doesn't do you much good if it won't hold water.

1.0 out of 5 stars cheap, September 3, 2009
This review is from: Safety 1st Kirby Inflatable Tub (Baby Product)
this is our third inflatable bath, the first 2 lasted over 8 months while this one barely made it over 3. Being the third inflatable tub we purchase we were actually even more careful with it than the 2 preceding ones, yet it barely lasted 1/3 of the times compared to the other and was more expensive. It is also smaller and has less additional toys integrated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Buy, June 29, 2009
This review is from: Safety 1st Kirby Inflatable Tub (Baby Product)
Love this bath tub. Bought it when our baby began sitting up and wanted out of her bath chair. It uses less water, if she tips over she doesn't hurt her head, and it's small enough that it's difficult for her to get in a position that she would be immersed in the water.

1.0 out of 5 stars Leaks through plug., June 15, 2009

This review is from: Safety 1st Kirby Inflatable Tub (Baby Product)
I just bought this tub last week and used it a few times. I put my 9-month old in it - he kicks the plug (not hard to do) and it starts to leak. I have to keep filling it. Every move he makes causes it to leak. I'm so frustrated! What a poor design. A total waste of money.
