5.0 out of 5 stars Pefect for Potty
This step stool is perfect. Not only is it eco-friendly, but it is the tallest kids step stool I've found. We have another step stool, but it's too short to help my son reach the big potty, or even the sink to wash his hands. This is just the right height for both. It is slightly taller than the Baby Bjorn (I set them side by side in the store to test), and measures...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too short for small toddler
I bought this and the KidKraft Two Step Stool; one for a downstairs/high-use bathroom and one for upstairs/non-guests. The KidKraft one is awesome for my 18mo old as it gets him to a good height to wash his hands at the sink. This one, however, we're going to have to wait to use for awhile because it is too short and he can't reach the sink. I'm hoping within a year he'll...

5.0 out of 5 stars Pefect for Potty, July 30, 2010
This review is from: Safety 1st Nature Next Step Stool, Green (Baby Product)
This step stool is perfect. Not only is it eco-friendly, but it is the tallest kids step stool I've found. We have another step stool, but it's too short to help my son reach the big potty, or even the sink to wash his hands. This is just the right height for both. It is slightly taller than the Baby Bjorn (I set them side by side in the store to test), and measures 7.5" tall. The picture on Amazon makes the top of the stool look like it's a different color than the rest of the stool, but it's not...same color as the legs, it's just the non-slip texture reflecting in the flash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what we needed, December 2, 2010

This stool is great! It's not too big but big enough for me to use if need be. We really got it for my daughter who is 2 1/2 to use. She uses one in the bathroom to use the toilet by herself. The other is in the kitchen for her to "help cook" and to turn lights on and off. She carries it around to different rooms as she needs it. She also uses it as a seat from time to time. She loves it! The color is a muted green so not too obnoxious but doesn't get obviously dirty the way other colors do. Overall very pleased with this! Just ordered one to keep at my parent's house for when we visit them :)

Inexpensive and effective option. This item was purchased for children to reach the bathroom sink for hand washing. It is light plastic but surprisingly strong. I weigh 185 lbs and it supports my weight.

good stool!

Our toddler has been using this stool at home for over a year now, and it has been a terrific little item to have around. She uses it to climb into her high chair, to get up closer to the sink, to watch us prepare food on the counter top, and a few other purposes.

The manufacturers clearly thought out the overall design of this stool. The size of the step is just right for little feet, without being too big to carry around. It's light enough for our daughter to pick up and move where she wants it, but the parts are light enough that there is no damage if she bumps it into a wall or cabinet. The legs are splayed out at a very slight angle to give it more security when placed on a spot.

The plastic is rigid and does not flex when stepped on. I've tested it myself!

We have hardwood flooring throughout our house. The rubber feet on the bottom of each leg keep the stool steady even when our daughter is leaning and reaching. They also prevent any damage to the floor. The feet are attached very securely and will not pop out.

The textured surface of the step itself adds good traction to prevent slipping. Our daughter has stepped on this stool barefooted, and in socks, and has never slipped.

Overall, the Nature Next Step Stool is a good example of how a simple and inexpensive item can still be designed intelligently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for big and small, July 29, 2011

I got this on sale on here for $6 free shipping! I love everything about it, no complaints! Its light weight, grips the floor without gliding or sliding when my son is washing his hands or getting on and off the potty. I also love that my husband and I bought have not only used it as seats while our son bathed but as a step stool ourselves for those just out of reach things. The surface also grips well, even wet we've never slipped and this stool has never tipped. Well worth the money, dont spend more on something else. I also like its not bulkey and stands slightly higher than most children stools.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little stool for my toddler, June 1, 2011

This is the perfect stool for my 2.5 yr old daughter. She can use it to brush her teeth, sit in the living room as a seat by the coffee table, and whatever else she wants to use it for. It is very light which is nice because she can carry it easily. I would not hesitate to use it if I needed a stool because it is not some flimsy piece of junk. It does the job, it was a good price, and I am very pleased.

We've got LOTS of small grandkids. When they come to visit they need a little help to reach the bathroom basin(s). We ordered 2 of these. They don't take up much space, are lightweight and with soft plastic that doesn't mar painted surfaces. These are inexpensive, too.

This is a great step stool. My son sits on it while I shampoo his hair, we also use it for him to reach the bathroom sink. It doesn't slip and it has a great height.

4.0 out of 5 stars The right size for the right usage, January 26, 2011
This review is from: Safety 1st Nature Next Step Stool, Green (Baby Product)
I got this for my 2 year old to be able to get on the toilet by himself since he has always refused to use his potty training chair. We wanted something small and lightweight that we could easily move out of the way (the wood stepstools are cute but big and heavy). This works great for that usage, he moves it from the side of the toilet to the front, climbs up, and then down using it. He's never had any problems, it's sturdy and doesn't slip or teeter under him.

We thought we might use it at the sink as well to let him brush his teeth. However, on the stool he isn't tall enough to see in the mirror, spit into the sink and not on the counter, or wash his hands. So we'll have to get a taller stool that allows him to wash his own hands and brush his own teeth (because you know how they want to do everything "all by myself".

So whether or not you like this will depend on what it is used for.

4.0 out of 5 stars Step on up!, January 24, 2011

This is a good little stool for the bathroom. My kids use it for the toilet and the counter. They sometimes bring them out to the kitchen to swipe food off the counter while I'm not looking.
We have 2 stools, and they stack up nicely when not being used.
They're a good height for turning on the light when I'm sleeping as well.
