Safety Blanket in Popcorn Butter: 6-9 Months

I own this Kushies Safety Blanket 6-9 months, Halo Sleep Sack in size medium and BeddieBye Zip-around Safety Blanket by Kiddopotamus X-Large. I find having this kind of item absolutely essential for my good night sleep. I don't have to worry that my daughter suffocates or gets cold regardless of her position in the crib.

I never had any problems with the quality of the Kushies blanket. It has a zipper that goes around and snaps to close the shoulder straps and the zipper end protector on the side. It is very easy to use. I could put my sleeping daughter in it without waking her up. It is not the case with Halo Sleep Sack. My daughter often wakes up when I push her arms through the arm openings.

I received Kushies blanket and Halo Sleep Sack as my baby shower gifts. Halo seems thicker than Kushies. They are similar width but Kushies is much shorter than Halo. I started using them when my daughter was 3 months old. I mainly used Kushies because it is easy to put on and Halo as a backup when Kushies was in the laundry.

When my daughter was 6 month old Kushies became to short. My daughter has an average weight for her age and is only slightly longer than an average baby. That is why I give it only 3 stars. I believe it is big problem if something that is labeled 6-9 months fits only 3-6 months.

I could not find longer Kushies but I really liked the design of this blanket. So I searched the Internet and found BeddieBye X-Large. It is as long as Halo medium. BeddieBye has Velcro instead of snaps like Kushies. The one I bought had some problems. The shoulder straps were too short and uneven. I fixed it by reducing the size of the Velcro pads closing the straps. Also the zipper end protector is in the wrong place and does not really cover the end of the zipper if you zip it all the way.

My daughter is now 10 months old and I still use BeddieBye X-Large as her main blanket and Halo medium as a backup.

This blanket is awesome. I like the fact that I'm not constantly waking up in the middle of the night to a cold, screaming baby who kicked his blanket off. Plus, I don't have to worry about the risk of his blanket going up over his face and suffocating him. We use this blanket every night.
