3.0 out of 5 stars Safety and Health for Engineers
I just passed my ASP and this book was an excellent introductory text. While it is understood that many other reference have to be used, I recommend this book as one of the first you review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can't Wait for New Edition in December 2005, October 21, 2005
This review is from: Safety and Health for Engineers (Industrial Health & Safety) (Paperback)
Great book. As an educator, it was the best one on the market. It only lacks current data, but the new edition coming in a couple of months should take care of that.

Good book for someone who is not very familiar with Safety engineering and would like to get started on it, potentially for certification later on.

This book is loaded with good safety and health related information for engineers. I had to buy for the graduate engineering class I was taking and the professor was only able to cover less than 1/2 of the textbook for a full semester course.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Mini-Encyclopedia of Diverse, Useful Information, October 21, 2008
This single volume is jam-packed with a great deal of information. You can learn about such things as fire safety, the ergonomics of manual labor, human impact (pardon the pun) of falling accidents, electric shock hazards, the effects on humans of heat and cold, chemical hazards, biohazards, radiation hazards, and so much more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative, September 25, 2011

This book is very informative, however, there are numerous typos throughout the book which can be extremely distracting. Content wise the book is pretty easy to learn from.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential!, June 21, 2011

In my opinion this is the single most important preparation tool for the CSP. After you pass the test this virtual encyclopedia of safety engineering will serve as an able tool in your professional toolbox. I wouldn't want to do my job without this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, but flawed execution, January 10, 2001
By
This review is from: Safety and Health for Engineers (Industrial Health & Safety) (Paperback)
Although this text does cover a wide range of safety topics, it is somewhat dated and contains a farly large number of typos. Therefore, the reader has to be careful. The book needs to be updated and the typographical errors corrected. If that were to be done, it would definitely be a five star book.
