This book literaly takes you on a world tour via a multitude of aircraft, piloted by the author. You also get glimpes of his formative years at home and school, which factors into later situations and events. He includes enough technical data and vocabulary to convince you that he knows of what he speaks; but not too much, so as to loose you. He appropriately includes stories of his wife and family and the importance they played in the journey. There is also plenty of humor as well.

The author has lived a unique and interesting life, crossing paths with the likes of Howard Hughes, Paul Harvey and others along the way. But it has not been absent of challenges, tragety and tears. And the story is told with an appropriate humility.

Considering the many close calls this test pilot experienced, he should not be alive. This is partially do to the development of his God given skills and training, but in other situations there was clearly Divine intervention. The Almighty had other plans for him and his family. Some of that is playing out now with Jack's involvement in leadership of the Active Adults as well as counseling at the church he is a member of.

So, take up and read.

This book was an excellent book. It clearly maps out the life story of a man who over came a rough childhood and acheived greatness through God, family, and his love of flying. This man is no other than my Grandfather, Jack Schweibold, I love you grandpa.
