I was surprised at how small this door alarm is when I got it. I just love it though. It's is small, but easy to handle and thus easy to take with me when I travel.

It's simply a doorstop and will react if it's plate is pressed down if the door opens on to it. The siren is loud enough to make a disturbance if it goes off.

I use it every night in my apartment and it gives me just one more way to feel safe. I have to pick it up every morning first things so I don't forget and open the door for someone and set it off.

It is small and light and my cat likes to play with it so I have to put it up on a counter during the day so she doesn't get it. If you odn't have a pet then you could leave it on the floor up against the wall and out of the way if you like.

It has a sensitivity setting so because of the risk of my cat getting it I have mine set on the least sensitive but I feel fine with that since I figure it will get plenty of pressure if someone actually opens the door on it.

Great product, I fully recommend it.

The "Super" door stop alarm is not super at all. I put a new nine volt battery in and nothing happened when i tried to open the door. When i attempted to open the door the stopper moved at will. May work best on hardwood or tile floors not carpet. Also might work better if it were heavier and better constructed. If you find one that works good luck!

This is a great product for the home and on trips. Place this in front of an exterior door, and it certainly lets you know if someone opens the door. It also stops the door from opening. It is better than an alarm because it is an active anti intruder device. We take this with us on trips to be sure that our closed and locked hotel room stays that way. Great product.

I purchased 2 of these for traveling out of the country and having a bit of added security. It is made out of the thinnest plastic. You need to put in a 9 volt battery that weighs more than the unit. It does not stay in place on a stone/marble floor and it didn't work. Every time we tried to set it, it just kept screaming. It is very loud, but did not work right in the capacity it was intended. I guess you could take it out jogging with you and hit the botton if somebody tried to mug you. But as a door alarm... NO. Also, there are no instructions in English. Total piece of junk. I wish I didn't waste the space in my suitcase. I left them at our destination in the trash can! SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I bought this door stop alarm for my mother, who lives alone. I bought name brand 9 volt battery and installed it. When we tried it, it barely made a very faint ting sound. No alarm, nothing. We changed out battery, turned it on again, tried all settings and nothing except the slight sound that let you know the problem was not with the battery. I am ready to see how to return or exchange this.
